"Are you sure anyone lives here?!" I screamed though the wind and my mask. "This seems like a VERY inconvenient place to live!"

I winced as a pile of snow flew right into my face, covering my goggles. I shook myself quickly, nearly face planting into the snow. Next to me, I could hear Sunset letting out a mechanical snort. I glared at her blurry form, sticking my tongue out at her, hoping she could see it. She simply stuck her thumb up before continuing onwards.

"IT IS! AND YES, I'M SURE SHE LIVES HERE! LIKE ONE HUNDRED PRECENT SURE!" Jacob screamed from somewhere in front of me.

I could barely see his form even though he was only three feet away from me. The snow was piling faster and faster by the minute and I was starting to freeze my ears off. The snow was already up to our knees

I could see Eli's eyes glowing in front of me, disappearing every time he blinked. I smiled, waving back at him as I saw his blurry form wave at me.

He was attached to Jacob's back courtesy of a harness Sunset made. The harness also attached us to him with a steel enforced rope, also courtesy of Sunset.

I am so fucking glad Eli isn't in the way of the wind. I highly doubt his small body would be able to handle that. Also, curse this fucking weather! It's literally spring! How the hell is there a blizzard? I'm already sooo fucking tired, just why, oh why did this person have to live here of all places? I understand it has a pretty good natural defense from hunters and stuff, but are you kidding me? Just plant a shit ton of trees around your house like a normal werewolf! Why do people gotta make things complicated?

I let out a huff, my legs slightly aching from the cold and the unusually large amount of walking I was doing.

"HOW LONG 'TILL WE GET THERE!? AND WHY CAN'T WE SHIFT YET?! WE COULD BE SO MUCH WARMER WITH OUR FUR!" I shouted.

My skin itched for the shift, along with my wolf, who was running amok in my head. And thanks to the  my time at the facility, my coat was fucked. That meant I still had my winter coat and Goddess, was I gonna abuse the crap outta that.

"THERE'S GONNA BE A LARGE FENCE! ONCE WE REACH THERE, WE CAN SHIFT."

"HOW LONG IS IT GONNA TAKE US TO GET TO THE FENCE?! I'M FRICKEN COLD!"

"SOON!"

So that was a lie.

We did not reach the fence soon, in fact, it took us another thirty or so minutes. At least, that's what my internal clock was telling me. But, then again, my internal clock has been fucked up for a while now so who knows how long it's really been.

Once we reached the fence, I immediately shifted. I brought my wings out, stretching them before bringing wrapping them around my body.

I jumped up, barreling myself headfirst into the snow before rolling around.

A yellowish orange flashed into my mind as my wolf ran circles in my head.

Ecstatic.

I allowed my wolf to take control, needing a break from the cold.

It's yours now, take it. I know you love the cold and goddess, is it fucking cold.

My work of jumped around, diving herself into the snow repeatedly. She spread our wings out, catching wind to make larger dives.

Suddenly, she was sent backwards by a strong pull on the harness. The snow cushioned our fall. She looked back sheepishly, bringing her face up to look at Jacob's disappointed face. She stuck her tongue out, causing him to laugh slightly.

"I thought you wanted to get out of the snow as soon as possibly?"

She let out a whine, flipping herself over as she stomped on the snow. She barked loudly, using a paw to poke and dig at the snow, causing Jacob to let out a chuckle.

"Yeah yeah yeah."

Jacob unhooked Eli from him and patted him on the head as he whispered something to him. Eli nodded as he turned to look at us and smile. Or at least, I think he did. I can't tell, it's fucking dark and everything is blurry. Jacob unhooked us from him as he hooked Eli to us. Eli climbed onto my back, pressing himself to my body as close as possible. He rubbed our snout, cleaning the snow off from our face to our chest fluff.

He leaned down towards our face, kneeling on the snow as he said, "I want you to fly Eli over the fence. The only way to get over it is to climb and it's gonna be hard to carry him in this blizzard. I also won't be able to see what's at the bottom of the fence so I might end up dropping him on a rock and that would be bad."

We turned our head to the fence, studying the chainlink and the cement at the bottom before turning our heads to Jacob and nodding.

My wolf jumped closer, spreading our wings out. She tailored them slightly, trying to catch the wind perfectly. She lowered ourselves onto our haunches before she launched us into the air. And as quickly as possible, to avoid any sudden change in the wind, she dived into the fence. She brought our wings close to our body as she used our front paws to grab onto the fence. Using our back legs, she kicked us off and landed us softly on the snow.

Eli let out a giggle as she turned back to boop him.

A few seconds later, Jacob and Sunset were over. Sunset had simply liquified herself and phased through the fence. She quickly shifted into a wolf before she could freeze into a weird blob thing.

Jacob, still in his human form, started reclipping us to him before shifting. His wolf nudged at Eli, gesturing for him to follow behind him closely. He turned to us, licking some snow off our face before turning to Subset and doing the same.

Off in the distance, we could see bright yellow lights.
