"I'm sure they're fine sweetie. I-It's just that... they've completely disappeared. Not a single wolf can be found on your territory. Any houses that were built on the territory, they've been torn down. There isn't even a scent trail left. All traces of them even existing have disappeared."

I let out a sigh of relief. Thank god, I thought you were gonna say that you found the dead bodies of my pack! Its not like would've believed her anyway! My pack link tells me they're still alive.

Diana looked at me confused.

"Aren't you concerned for your pack? There's little to no chance of ever finding them again with these odds!" She shouted.

I shrinked backed, lowering my head at her voice.

"I-I'm sorry. It's just that... I–erm, well, m-my pack is fine. The link between us is still strong so I know that they're safe."

"Oh sweetie, I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just that, there's soooo many pups that take their pack for granted and they don't realize their importance until it's too late. I'm sorry." She said, wrapping me in a hug again.

"It alright. I know you didn't mean any harm."

"Still, I shouldn't have yelled at you."

"It's fine! Really!" I escaped from her grasp and backed away, reassuring her with a smile.

She nodded her head before asking,"If you don't mind Mystic, could you explain to me exactly what your pack did? And how they managed to vanish every single trace of them?"

"I-I... I'm sorry, but I can't tell you. It's a highly guarded secret, and even if I could, I still wouldn't. Even as an alpha's child, I would be killed for telling anyone. In fact, my parents would be the one ordering the execution." I answered biting my lip.

And plus, it's not like it would matter if I died anyways. In fact, it would be better for the pack if I did. That way, she would be able to become alpha and I wouldn't have too. I thought sadly. It's not like I wanted to be alpha anyways! That comes with a lot of responsibilities and you'll get blamed for a lot of things and your family will be in constant danger because of hunters and rival packs.

My wolf mentally licked me, rubbing her face against mine. I mentally patted her, thanking her.

Diana stared at me, mortified at the last sentence I said.

"I'd understand if you were imprisoned, but death? Killing a pup simply because they let a pack secret out? Even the worsts packs I've seen and heard of would never kill a pup immediately. At most, the would imprison and abuse the pup for the rest of their life! And these are the types of packs that the council have had to take action against! To think that such a well respected pack would even think of killing a child for such a small reason!

Pups should be cherished and protected! They are out future! How could anyone possibly murder their child for any reason?! Don't they know how hard it is for some she wolves to try and get pregnant but constantly fail over and over again?"

I flinched, surprised at her outburst.

Wait, are you saying that not every other pack does this? Hmph, no wonder why they have to worry about traitors. If everywolf knew the consequences of things at a young age, they would never think of going against the pack. At least, not until someone tries to convince them otherwise. But that only ever happens if the wolf already has a weak bond with their pack!
