Shorter chapter this time, sorry. I've been getting writers block and school is taking up most of my time. I hope you enjoy the chapter though~

I sat next to Cecillus, watching as he and Marvin started chatting away.

I took the time to carefully study Marvin.

He looked to be much shorter than Cecillus, but that was probably because he was slouching. He had a much smaller and skinner build than Cecillus. He had dark brown hair Done in a ponytail that slightly covered his brilliant green eyes. He wore a lab coat and a blue shirt underneath. He wore sweat pants and red shoes.

"Why are you wearing a lab coat? Isn't it your day off?" Cecillus asked.

"I had a side project that I needed to do. You're lucky I don't have a time limit, or else I would've just completely ignore your call."

"And I would've gone to your place anyways, in my wolf form."

Marvin let out a snort. "You wouldn't. You're not that careless. There's many undercover hunters that could easily tell that your actually a werewolf if they spot you. I also know that you wouldn't recklessly endanger a pup."

Turning towards me then back to Cecillus, he asked,"Why did you even bring her? She seems to be in perfect health. And other than the scars, there's really nothing to be worried about. Now, if you want me to deal with mental health issues, you're gonna need a therapist."

"No, that's not it..."

I tuned their voices out as I let out a yawn.

Wonder how long it'll take to reach his place? I hope it's soon, I really hate long car rides."

We arrived at Marvin's house twenty minutes later.

He lived in a modern cliff house that had a very long driveway down.

Once we entered the house, we sat down in his living room.

Dang, this house is messy. I thought that being a vet/doctor person, he'd be much neater.

"Sorry for the mess. I've been trying to find information for my project and didn't have the time to clean it up."

I looked around to see papers and random junk stacked randomly in piles all around us. There were also many paintings of wolves hanged up on the walls. Small wooden carvings of wolves lined the top of bookshelves.

"Hey, is it okay if I have a closer look at those carvings?" I asked, pointing at a dark red wolf.

Marvin nodded.

I jumped up and walked over to the carving.

Strange. This looks a lot like something my pack makes. The technique used looks to be exactly the same and the wood is the same too. Why are these carvings made again? Hmm... oh yeah! It's usually made when a werewolf leaves the pack to join their mate. It happens rarely since most wolves from other packs wants to join our pack.

I turned around to look at Marvin as he gave me a toothy smile, revealing his sharp canines.

"You're a werewolf too? Why didn't you tell me this in the first place Cecillus?! If I had known, my wolf wouldn't of have had that little break down!" I exclaimed as I turned to look at Cecillus. "Then again. We did have a human driver so it probably wouldn't have mattered."

Cecillus shrugged before Marvin let out a chuckle.

"Actually Mystic, I'm only about 12.5 percent wolf. My grandfather was a werewolf who had a human mate, my grandmother. He was from a pack that followed more traditional werewolf laws and so he left with my grandmother to start his own "pack." That carving is something his old pack made for home when he left. I'm pretty sure the pack was called ShadowMoon? Shadow—"

"ShadowEclipse!" I shouted excitedly.

"Oh yeas! That's the pack! You probably heard of it since it's pretty well known."

My ears and tail popped out and I started wagging my tail like crazy.

His grandpa is from my pack! Oh my god, does this mean he might know where the holy land is?! Maybe his grandpa told him about it! I might be able to go home! I thought to myself, expecting to feel happy.

Instead, I felt... indifferent.

Shouldn't I be feeling happy? I finally get to see my family again. Or maybe... I'm gonna miss Jacob, Diana, and Cecillus. But I can always visit them when I get back! All I need to do is convince my mother!

"Do you remember if your grandfather ever spoke about a holy land? Or maybe told you about what would happen if the pack ever needed to migrate?" I asked hopeful, twitching my ears in anticipation.

Marvin thought for a while before shaking his head.

"Unfortunately no. I don't recall him ever telling me anything about that." I lowered my ears as my tail stopped wagging. "Why? Does it have something to do with your pack?"

"Yes, in fact it does since I'm also from ShadowEclipse! My pack disappeared to the Holy lands and I have absolutely no idea where it is! My parents never bothered to tell me because I wasn't the alpha yet and they didn't expect anything and to happen, but guess what?! Something bad happened! I really wish they would actually talk to me through the pack link, but the link is kinda getting weaker and they can only send emotions or colors."

"I'm so sorry for what happened to you. Wait, aren't pack links suppose to be something that can never be broken unless the alpha breaks it themselves are die? How could it possibly be getting weaker?" Marvin asked, tilting his head like a puppy.

"I mean, that's for normal packs. Our pack is much different, our wolves are much stronger than the human side and thus, form stronger bonds. But if our wolves aren't able to see another wolf from the pack, the bond will slowly deteriorate since there's no one there to strengthen it." I explained.

"I think that's enough talking now. Should we get into business now?"

"Fine." Both me and Marvin answered at the same time.
