We ran as fast as we could towards the child. My wolf pushed her snout against the boy's fluffy hair, sniffing at him before quickly remembering we couldn't smell. She let out a sigh of relief when she realized the child was breathing. She scanned the child, letting out a growl at the condition he was in.
The boy was only wearing a oversized shirt. He was covered in dirt and his hair was a tangled mess. He was skinny, skinner than me.
Jacob's wolf gently pushed us out of the way before sniffing the boy. She let out a puff and pushed him out of the way. She licked the boy's face, stopping as he started to wake up.
The boy slowly got up, rubbing his eyes and letting out a yawn. He looked around before locking his eyes on us. We stared at his bright, honey colored eyes.
How pretty. I thought, my wolf nodding her head in agreement.
The boy started clapping his hands together, smiling as he reached towards us. "Puppy!" He exclaimed excitedly as he hugged my wolf.
What kinda three year old has a missing tooth already? Could he be an early bloomer?
"Thoft!" He shouted as he started running his hands through my fur. "Tho pretty..." He stared at my fur and started patting it.
My wolf wagged her tail happily, enjoying the attention she was having. She started licking the boy's face as he giggled. She looked at Jacob through the corners of her eyes and grinned. She stuck her tongue out before turning her attention back to the toddler.
Jacob shifted, immediately drawing the attention of the child. The child stopped petting my wolf and started walking towards Jacob. His eyes widened in wonder.
"Magic man!" He shouted, jumping up and down as he stared at Jacob.
Jacob let out a chuckle before petting the kid. "I wonder where the pup's parents are? He's so tiny." Jacobs eyes softened.
My wolf walked over and sat next to Jacob. I looked at the kid's collarbone, realizing that the shirt was slowly falling off.
Red and emerald green sliced through my mind as I saw the tattoo on his shoulder.
Anger and disgust.
Both me and Jacob let out a growl as we saw the mark. Jacob gently grabbed the kid and started scanning his body for more marks. My wolf walked behind the boy and took a closer look at the mark.
WP: S - 25
She froze before letting out a pained snarl. My wolf panicked, ramming her back into the tree. She knelt down, covering her head with her paws as she trembled.
Calm down! It's alright! Everything is fine now! I panicked as I fought for control, trying to console my wolf. Just as I nearly took control, my vision turned black.
"How many goddamn times do I have to tell you to tighten the cuffs? This is an alpha pup we're dealing with! They can't be underestimated no matter how young they are!"
"I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again!"
I felt the cuffs on my legs tighten, nearly cutting into my skin. My jaw was trapped in a muzzle. I couldn't move and my vision was hazy. I was laying on something cold and smooth, most likely a metal table.
The only thing I recognize was that fucking voice.
I wanted to break free, rip through these stupid restraints and rip his throat out. But I knew that was stupid. The only reason why that man was keeping me alive was because I was different. I didn't try to run or fight back, I allowed him to do whatever he wanted as long as I got to live another day.
It also didn't help that I felt immense fear every time I smelt him come near me. It didn't help that I trembled like a leaf whenever he looked at me.
I could feel his stare, looking at me with the curiosity of a toddler and the bloodlust of a deranged predator.
I looked around, trying to pin point where he was.
"Ah! It seems like my little pet is awake." The man said, his voice slithering through my ears.
I cringed at the sound, squirming away.
"I'll higher the dosage–"
"No need. I want the brat to remember this."
I stared at him, eyes wide open as the bastard approached me with something in his hand...
I returned to reality, face to face with Jacob as he stared at me worriedly. Tears streamed down my face and I stared at the ground, trying to wrap my head around what I just saw. Quickly wiping away my tears, I pulled my shirt up slightly.
I need to confirm this...
I looked at my stomach, staring in shock.
There, just above my hip was the tattoo "WP : P - 1" in white ink.
"How the hell didn't I notice that earlier?" I whispered, loud enough for Jacob to hear.
Jacob leaned in and hugged me. I buried my fav into his shoulder before turning to my side as I felt small arms wrap around me.
"No thad! Thad go away!" The pup exclaimed as he hugged me.
I smiled softly before whispering to both of them. "Thank you."
Jacob pat me on the back before releasing me.
"W-What exactly do these tattoos mean?"
"I-I don't really know. I definitely do know that mine is different than the pup's. I think that WP means werewolf pup. I think that the S for the pup's meant Subject. He was most likely used for experimentation and was the twenty fifth pup they'd taken. I faintly remember being called pet a lot... I can't remember who would call me that though. I'm guessing that P stands for Pet. That would explain why my mark is white and how the writing isn't as robotic and neat."
Jacob let out a low, threatening growl.
"Do you remember anything else? D-Did they do something else to you?"
"I'm sorry. I can't remember... I have a feeling they didn't do much though. I feel like the person who called me pet was someone of high standing. I-I think they were the warden."
Jacob shook his head in anger before turning to the pup. He softened his features and asked in a quiet voice.
"What's your name pup? Do you remember anything before you got here?"
The pup tilted his head and stared at us blankly before shaking it no.
"Umm... whath a name?"
