I hummed to myself as I skipped through the woods. I tunes my ears to my surroundings, listening intently for any footsteps.
For rogue territory, there isn't that many rogues around. Especially since this is a safe haven. I thought to myself, stopping to scan the area.
My wolf yipped in agreement.
There is however, a lot a rabbits. There's one of there! Wanna try hunting it? I'm sure our skills have improved greatly since we've started training!
My wolf nodded, quickly taking control and shifting. She launched herself forward, stopping only a few meters away from the rabbit. She stalked the rabbit, slowly walking on her hunches. Using the tree between her and the rabbit as cover, she lowered her body into a pouncing stance. She furrowed her brows, staring intently at the rodent.
She pounced, opening her jaw as she prepared to plunge her teeth into the soft flesh of the small creature.
Before she could though, something collided into her headfirst, causing the both of them to fall backwards.
She landed in her back before quickly shaking herself back up. She let out a huff, sneezing at the dirt kicked up from her fall.
Luckily, she didn't bite her tongue. Though, the same couldn't be said for the wolf in front of her.
She stared at the wolf in front of her, slightly annoyed that they ruined her hunt.
The black wolf in front of her was sticking their tongue out, looking at the ground in defeat as their ears dropped. Small droplets of blood dropped from their tongue.
This wolf was about the size of Jacob, if not a little bit bigger.
They're probably the same age then.
My wolf nodded, still annoyed, but slightly concerned this time.
She walked up to the wolf, looking at their tongue to see teeth marks. Luckily, they didn't look too deep.
She shoved her snout in front of their face, sniffing, before frowning slightly at the lack of smell.
Guess that still doesn't work.
The wolf stared at her, slightly surprised at how close they were.
She stared back, mesmerized by their bright golden eyes.
The wolf had snowy white ear tips and white fur on their lower jaw. The had simple but beautiful red markings underneath their eyes. She walked around the wolf, pretending to sniff them before sitting in front of them. They had white paws, just like natural mittens. Their fluffy tail had a red tip.
Wow, I've never seen a wolf with red markings. Then again, we are fricken purple. I thought. That's a really bright red too.
She let out a huff, showing her annoyance at the wolf. The wolf lowered their ears, tucking their tail towards their body. They lowered themselves into a submissive stance, bouncing around to get her forgiveness.
My wolf let out another huff, turning away as she smiled slightly.
The wolf let out a whine, jumping in front of her and rolling at her feet. The wolf stopped rolling, taking a long look at us, specifically our stomach area. Suddenly, they jumped up and stomped on the ground, signaling for us to stay. We tilted our head as we watched the wolf bound away.
Yo, are they getting us food?! Yoooo, that's so nice of them.
My wolf nodded her head, waiting patiently as our stomach started growling.
