Oliver arrived at Grimmaud Place the next morning, tapping the window with his beak furiously. Kreacher ran over to the window and untied the letter. "Mistress, a letter addressed to you."
"Thanks Kreacher," said Ginny as she read the letter.
"Who is it from?" Lily asked poking her head.
"Albus," murmured Ginny. She frowned, Scorpius Malfoy, in Gryffindor and a nice friend? Hard to believe, she thought to herself.
Just then the door bell rang and Harry came in.
"Hey there, what's up?" Ginny asked as Kreacher rushed into the kitchen to get more breakfast for Harry.
"Just a false alarm, nothing special though. How's Al?" Harry spoke as he took of his cloak and sat down beside Ginny.
"Oh, he's fine. He's in Gryffindor, and by the sound of it, he's happy."
"That's great."
"Except he's complaining about an annoying classmate and he asking us how to make him shut up without breaking rules." Ginny said as Lily and Harry giggled.
"Well, I'll write and tell him to ignore the classmate and then," said Harry, apparently amused.
"There's more, he's best friends with Malfoy." Ginny said worriedly.
"Well... wait, he's not in Slytherin?" said Harry, quite alarmed.
"No, and it seems they are now best friends."
"Scorpius may not be the same as Draco, I think Albus will be able to choose his friends wisely."
"Yeah. Oh and I told James that you'll bring his birthday present in October, that's the first lecture, right?"
"Yes, and I am already thinking of the topic."
"What're you going to give James this year, dad?" Lily asked curiously.
"A broom," Ginny answered.
"Oh wow, which broom is it?" asked Lily excitedly.
"A Firebolt 204," this time Harry answered.
"The newest broom!" shrieked Lily.
"Yes," chuckled Harry, "I hope he'll do even better this year. It's already wonderful last year. Pity he lost to Ravenclaw."
"That's his first match."
"I know."
"Well, I better write to him tonight then. I think he would want to know how to deal with the classmate."
"I'll write."
