"ALBUS!!" James shrieked while racing into the common room, "Guess what my birthday present is?"
"What?" Rose asked, "You look so excited," Albus said, Scorpius added, "Calm down,"
"You won't believe it!" James said breathlessly, his eyes shining.
"Spit it out, James!" Molly piped in.
"A Firebolt 204!" James shouted so loudly that the whole common room heard him.
"Oh wow!"
"A Firebolt 204! That's awesome!"
"Lucky you!"
"Are you serious?" Albus asked him staring at the badly wrapped package.
James unwrapped the package, indeed it was the newest, fastest broom model, Firebolt 204.
"Wow, Gryffindor's going to win this year's Quidditch Matches with our seeker getting a new broom."
"We're going to win the Quidditch Cup!"
"That's spectacular news James!" the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, Hazel Alvarado came over and clapped James on his back.
"Great!"
"We're going to win!"
"Quidditch Cup is ours!"
"What's all the racket about? Gryffindors, its getting late," Professor Longbottom appeared from the door of the common room.
"You see, Professor, James got a new broom."
"Yeah, a Firebolt 204!"
"And who gave it to you James?" Professor Longbottom asked curiously, examining the broom.
"My parents. It's my birthday present," James said proudly.
"Ah, Harry brought it over today, didn't he?"
"Yep."
"Gryffindors, I know you are excited but you really should be getting back to your dorms now," Professor Longbottom ordered, and the students filed out of the common room one by one.
"Can't wait for Quidditch season to start," Molly said.
"James' a seeker?" Scorpius asked.
"Yeah, since last year. Our parents were both seekers you know," Albus boasted.
"Come on, everyone knows that! The youngest seeker in a century! You should tryout for the Quidditch team next year!" said Rose.
"If there's a space."
"So Hazel's the captain and she is a..." Scorpius trailed off.
"Chaser," Molly said.
"My dad was a seeker too. Hardly ever caught the snitch, especially against Gryffindor," Scorpius chuckled, "But I do play Quidditch at home sometimes. Just a small game though."
"We always play Quidditch at home," Albus said.
"Oh yes! You got a damn good pitch at home," said Rose.
They reached the staircase seperating the dorms, "See you tomorrow breakfast."
"See you!"
