"You guys here they come!"
The oblivious cheers coming from your friends and former school mates resonated through the whole room of the restaurant. You and your group were given looks not only by the customers but even some of the staffs who were stood by the sidelines seemed to be attentive, ready to rush to your group and kick you out when seen as necessary.
You playfully rolled your eyes seeing that not many things have really changed. The group was still as rowdy as ever.
The thought of shushing them almost tickled your voice to do so and you opened your mouth just a bit. However, the palm that landed over the flat of your back and the following voice speaking after the small gesture beat you from doing so.
"Guys you need to shut the hell up unless you want to get kicked out or something." Jay grumbled before assisting you over to a vacant seat, kissing the side of your head before situating himself right beside you. "I don't want for our little dinner to end up happening in another restaurant just so you guys can cause even more chaos."
A friend and a former senior of both yours and Jay scoffed. "You're one to talk. You can just be as chaotic and rowdy as us, if not maybe you're even more of those qualities than us."
"I am not." The blond stubbornly denied.
"Of course you'd say that." Heeseung turns to you with a teasing smile, blatantly ignoring the sounds of disapproval coming from Jay. He gestures for your hand. "Can I see?"
Upon hearing the eldest, all eyes turned to you from their former conversations; anticipating to see the jewel decorating your skin up-close.
Minju grabs a piece of hors d'oeuvre from the plate. "Dude come on! Don't be shy! Show us!"
Admittedly, you were getting quite flustered with the unwanted attention you were getting. However, it was to be expected when something as big as this is presented in a golden plate in front of your former schoolmates. So with a resigned sigh, you slowly raised your left hand turning it with your palm downwards to show the golden diamond band in your ring finger.
Jake made a whistling noise, a big grin plastered on his face while Sunoo took your left hand in his for a closer look.
"Well damn that shit looks expensive." The Aussie commented. "But of course, only the best for Jay's fiancè."
The golden band wrapped around your finger was supposedly a customized one, coming from an exceptional jewel store with a name you can't even bother to pronounce.
It was a simple gold band adorned with small, dainty diamonds encircling the base of the ring. On the inner rear inscribed was Jay's and Yours initials, incised with an infinity symbol and a heart to represent the undying love the blond has for youㅡor so as how he'd put it. It was simple in a sense you'd so much prefer than those with the bigger diamond one's. You were happy and content with the jewel embodying your engagement with Jay and was more than ecstatic to show it offㅡwell, with a little bit of shyness at least.
"It looks beautiful." Sunoo awed, rotating your hand in his palm. He spared you a soft glance. "I can't believe you're getting married in the next three months."
You simply laughed. "I couldn't believe it too at first, thinking that it was only a dream but everytime I see the ring on my finger, I'm reminded that it's my reality; and I can't wait to face that stage of my life."
"Awe look at you being sappy and shit."
You playfully glared at Sunoo while he simply stuck his tongue out to tease you even more.
