Placing the last box of medicine on the shelf, you wiped the sweat off of your forehead, cringing at the sticky feeling that was now present in your palm.

"Is that all for this week's collection?" Entering the storage unit, Jungwon observed the piles of boxes stacked on one another, a satisfied hum leaving his lips as he placed his thumb and pointer finger on his chin, brows slightly furrowed as he mentally count the boxes on the pile. He turned to look at you with a grin. "This is a good start, yeah?"

Rolling your eyes, you huffed before tapping the male on his shoulder, pushing past him through the door and relishing the fresh air that nipped at your exposed arms. "Yeah, a totally great start for a new era where the dead is alive and the population of human existence diminishing slowly."

"I really like your positive attitude," Jungwon sarcastically remarks before following you out and closing the doors behind him. The two of you walked down the path leading to the houses, passing by a few survivors like yourselves doing tasks assigned to them by the leaders. Jungwon waves to another familiar face down a few houses before adding, "It's very inspiring."

You playfully rolling your eyes before walking towards your own house, bumping shoulders with the taller male who glared at you in return.

You snickered, saluting at your friend before you entered your house. "Thanks, I try."

Jungwon simply shakes his head before continuing his own walk to wherever he was heading. On the other hand, you headed upstairs to your room, shrugging off your boots by your room door and letting it plop down beside your pack with a thud.

From the heat that circulated throughout the city for the whole day, sweat was basically your second skin, reeking out of your sweat-drenched clothes like a nasty stench that made you cringe in disgust as you took your top off, walking in your room basically in your sports bra before taking your bathrobe and towel from the rack behind your door.

Without a second thought, you took off your remaining clothes before hopping in the shower without fixing the temperature in, primarily concerned about taking a long bath from the dreadful situation your body had been through for the whole day.

The sun had gone to hide itself, replacing the heat with cold air and the sun with the mysterious moon up above the sky and its company, stars.

That afternoon, the shower had gone awfully calming that it lulled you to sleep the moment you changed into some new and fresh, clean clothes before laying on your bed with wet hair. Not even a few minutes later and you were out cold like a bear hibernating during the winter season.

You didn't even remembering falling asleep the moment you woke up snuggled on your sheets with your window wide open and curtains parted for the night air to slip into. Regardless, you had a nice sleep and very much appreciated the rest you didn't know you needed.

Like the usual nights, people in the camp were just as active as ever. You passed by a lot of them on your way to the main dining area where they would normally serve the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It was nice to see that all of them were coping better than expected. The sudden changes that hit the planet wasn't a normal one after all nor was it very pleasant.

After a few while, you finally spotted the open dining area by the backyards of the cook's houses. A few people were only littering by the tables with their trays alongside a few people in the higher ranks who were finally back from their daily hunts. You approached the table of your friends, spotting the person that you've been anticipating to see in the daily basis.
