The very first time Jake saw you again was when you were still in the age of three, chubby legs running wobbly along the grassy area of the park as a man in his late twenties, presumably your father, following close by behind you as your contagious laugh sounded off in the park. Your hair in small pigtails waggled amidst the air when he watched as your Father carried you, securing you against his chest before walking back to a spot where a picnic blanket and basket was laid waiting on the ground.
He sat on the bench a few meters away from where you were, book left closed over his lap as he surveyed the whole area, fingers enclosing together as thoughts started clouding inside his mind, making the look in his eyes far-off, more than they usually were.
With a resigned sigh, Jake stood up, patting away the non-existent dust that clung on to his jeans and hoodie, taking the book along with him when he reckoned that his presence was no longer needed; not yet, that is. He saw that you were born just fine, fitted to the family that you currently have and your father seems to love you just as much despite the lingering spark of sadness in his eyes as he would lay them on you. Jake thought things might not have gona the way they were supposed to, but then again, the man does radiate love and care, both in his actions and eyes and it was enough for him to temporarily leave you.
Casting you one last glance before he started walking away, Jake's chest thumped as your eyes met his for the last moment, enough for him to send your small figure a smile as he started walking away.
In a few years love, we will meet again.

"That's the dumbest shit i've ever heard this week Taeyoung. are these stories of nothing but tomfools a thing now?" you groaned, swatting your hands in the air as the said guy leaned further back to avoid himself from getting the awfully painful sting of your smacks. They were really gonna hurt for idiotic people.
Beside him, Seongmin snorts, patting the taller one on the back as he sat down beside him. "Why don't you ask if him being dumb is gonna be an everyday thing now too (Y/N)?" he takes one of the books you had on the library desk, opening them as Taeyoung casted him a nasty glare. "Because it sure damn looks like it."
"Oh come on! How would I even know that putting socks inside the microwave, thinking that they'll simply warm up without burning inside was gonna happen?" Taeyoung sulked, harshly tugging on his uniform shirt to which a few buttons popped off. "I thought I was gonna get my warm socks for that night."
"Well you obviously didn't."
"Yes but I'm not the dumb Seongbitch."
"Says the guy who also tried dipping cheetos in milk last week, Taeschlub."
Taeyoung dramatically gasped, clutching the patch of shirt over his chest as he threw one of his pens to Seongmin's head. "You dared me to do it you dirty, fish-smelling water!"
"You followed me anyways you tall, bamboo looking guy!"
"You forced me!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Did too-"
Slipping beside the vacant seats next to yours, Sunoo and Doyoung watched the two with amusement dancing in their eyes. The latter was the first one to break their fight.
"I'm wondering why you two aren't kicked out of the library yet," Doyoung intruded, pulling out his school works as the two snapped their head to him in unison.
