The tight material that was wrapped around your waist felt constricting as it heavily cinched your waist tighter, feeling the material tensing the more you tried to breathe in more air for your lungs to take and for you to survive.

Not only was the ambiance of the restaurant suffocating but even your own clothing was as well. At this point, waking in with your loose ugly pajamas in this sophisticated restaurant that screamed wealth and wealthy people was more than inviting than the fancy fabric wrapped around you.

On your right hand, twirling in your fingers was a golden fork supposed to be used for your dessert cake. However, said dessert was already consumed a little while ago in a flash considering the small portion that they served that didn't even felt fulfilling. Now, there was nothing better for you to do or something that you could enjoy yourself in. All you had was the dreary chatter of your parents with people that you hardly even know. It was safe to say that you didn't like the topic being discussed as well.

Mr. and Mrs. Cha is a lovely couple; nice enough on the surface, polite, kind and hardly spoke about their riches unlike the other business couple you've met in the past. It's what your Mother and Father proposed and promised them that irritated you to no end.

“Junho will be here in a few minutes,” Mrs. Cha spoke while patting her lip corner with the table napkin. “I apologize on his behalf for his late arrival.”

Your Mother plastered one of her many smiles, shaking her head with a gleeful chuckle that sounded so fake in your ears. “It’s alright Minsoo. We're in no rush.”

“I promise you he's usually not this late to dinners. It's just... he's pretty busy for a twenty-five year old.” Slowly shaking her head, Mr. Cha nodded alongside his wife as the two of them smiled apologetically while Mrs. Cha checked her watch for the nth time as you sat silently by your Mother's side.

You Father, genuinely understanding the couple shrugged his shoulders, patting Mr. Cha on the shoulders. “It really is alright Minsoo, Junseo.”

Apparently, their son Cha Junho had other plans not to be able to make it to the appetizers and main course of the dinner. His parents did thought that he could grace the table with his presence during dessert but, even when the plates are all cleared and he was still nowhere to be seen.

Frankly, you've never seen their son in person so you didn't really know what to expect, only that you really did have none. Mr. and Mrs. Cha however were familiar faces to you from the few dinner parties in the company that your parents planned out, though you haven't had a proper conversation with them up until this very night. They were pleasant to be with and honestly was acting like a breath of fresh air for you to breathe in, very different from the suffocating presence of your parents and you decided that you favored them more. Hell, there are a handful of other people that you'd prefer over your parents anytime of the day.

Placing your fork back on the table, completely ignoring the piercing glare coming from your Mother, you sat yourself properly on your cushioned seat before roaming your eyes around the extravagant interior design and furniture of the restaurant.

“Good evening,” A voice suddenly spoke from your right, interrupting your observation as you dragged your eyes to the new face that approached your table with hasty steps. The guy stopped beside Mrs. Cha’s seat to kiss her cheeks before dropping himself on the seat beside her with elegance that you couldn't find in you. “Apologies for being late. The office had an emergency meeting for a department in the company that needed an immediate fixing. I hope you enjoyed the dinner without me at least,” The guy spoke smoothly and with ease before smiling apologetically at your parents.

“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Yang.”

Pleased, your Mom nudged you slightly with her focus all on the fine young man in front of her. “Well your reason for being late was valid dear, don't sweat it. It's alright.”
