"I lost my earphones."

You stared at Sunoo blankly who dejectedly pursed his lips.

"And I just bought them a few weeks ago." He continued before sighing, a deep one as he threw himself on the vacant couch beside you, feigning ignorance to the slight scowl you had on your face. "Ah! I hate this! I hate this- what did I even do to be this unlucky?"

Rolling your eyes at his dramatic words, you grumbled. "Dude I thought you were gonna ask me for help for this upcoming valentines day, not complain about your lost earphones and some shit."

"Oh and that too, shit."

It was a normal Saturday morning for the both of you- well, as normal as it can get that is. You spent roughly an hour worrying about the text that he sent you the very night prior that he was coming over. A plain text telling you his agenda but not specifying why, no over exaggeration and no handful of emojis either which was very un-Sunoo like. So being the worrisome friend that you were, your mind came up with the most absurd scenarios that might've happened to your best friend during the time that you were separated from school after receiving his last text that he was also coming over for help for the upcoming valentines day.

However, to be frank his last message did made you a little nervous. The nervousness that you tried to conceal no in front of him. Sunoo, for the last seven years of your friendship wasn't too bothered by that very day. He didn't made any plans of giving someone chocolates, or gifts and flowers despite being awfully well-known in your grade class. He just never cared for it, so what's the difference now?

The said boy laid his head on your lap, obnoxiously taking up almost all of the space you had in your three-seater couch. "I could worry about the valentines day later, but my earphoooooones!"

"Dipshit then just buy a new one? Yeah?" Sunoo stopped for a moment, mentally chucking himself out of your window seeing your deadpanned expression that conveyed very little of your emotions.

"Oh... right." He said, slowly. "Then you'll come with me to buy them then?"

You faced him with a straight face. "Do I look like your chaperone or something?"

Sunoo sat back up, facing you before grabbing your shoulders and shaking you wildly. "No! But you are my best friend!"

Right… Best friend.

You inwardly sighed at the thought and simply nodded your head to the now blond boy. "Whatever I guess."

"But what if he gives someone something? Like wouldn't you be hurt by that?"

From the other line, Ni-ki spoke, a tinge of worry coating his voice and you can almost imagine him frowning as the call went on between the two of you.

You sighed, laying down on your bed and sprawling your limbs all over the soft duvet underneath you before adjusting your phone in between your shoulder blades and your ear.  "I don't know- I mean I never really confessed to him or anything right? I have no right to be upset if he does ends up confessing to someone else during the valentines day."

"Then why don't you just confess to him as well then?"

"And wait in line before I get my turn Ni-ki?" You chuckled lowly. "You know him. Mr. famous classroom president and-"

"Student council sunshine." Niki finished off, both of you erupting in small laughs as you remember that silly nickname that was given to Sunoo by his fan club at your school.

You snorted. "But you're one to say Ni-ki! You also have your own nickname at school!"

"Well at least I don't get to be showered with that nickname every single day unlike our other friend here."

"That's true." You agreed, inwardly patting your bag for your next addition. "It's because some of your fans are afraid to approach you because you looked cold most of the times!"

"I certainly do not look cold."

"Bro you can't tell me otherwise." You argued. "I overhead some girls from ninth grade that you looked cool and all while dancing but they're too scared to approach and compliment you because you look emotionless of the time."

Ni-ki groaned. He couldn't really believe that people would assume such things over him when he's just shy to be around other people. Does his face really do that? He debated at the thought. "I don't even know what my face looks like most of the time! Dumbass."

You chuckled. "Maybe try smiling more often when someone compliments you or something. Words around school spreads fast y'know."

"I'll smile when I feel like it, thank you very much."

"Well then bye, continue scaring your fan girls off."

"They'll mob me when I smile. I just know it.''

You simply scoffed at his remark because for starters, you knew there was a possibility.
