"We need to talk."

"Wow, no hi? No hellos? Noㅡ"

"Let's break up."

. . .

"W-what?"

"Did you not hear what I just said? If you didn't then I'd gladly repeat it for you, I'm break up with youㅡ"

"Jay, noㅡ"

"I'm breaking up with you either you want me to or not! You don't have a say in any of my decisions and yes, I am done. I want out in this relationship and you can't change my mindㅡ I won't change my mind."

"But Jay I'm in this relationship too!"

"A relationship that I never wanted in the first place!"

"W-what do you m-mean?"

"I'm breaking up with you. I'm done and I can't do this anymore with you."

"Jay please noㅡ"

The boy sat on his side of his former bed alone, fingers gently tracing the cold and untouched mattress on his side as he let all of the memories he had with you invade his whole mind.

Jay Park could almost feel his heart breaking when his last memory of you came crashing down on him like a tidal wave. Clenching his heart with the same pain and regret he felt the night he broke you. Resentment, anger, disappointment, all of those are all directed towards no one but to himself. He felt so awful for the things he had said and done to the girl who did nothing but treat him with so much love and care for all the time that she had spent with him.

And in the end, he was the one to break you. Masking his fear with hatred when once never did he ever thought of that certain emotion towards you. But then again he thought it was better that way, you hating him for something that he had done than to have you continue searching for answers as to why he suddenly broke up with you.

But would you still?

Jay knew you were already doing fine. He knew that you have already moved on. Then there's no reason for him to divulge the answers to your raging questions you have rooted probably from six years ago. Talking to you and explaining his side was useless at this pointㅡand the thought of that broke him even more knowing that he couldn't do something to win you back again.

He thought that if he could only turn back time, he knew he'd fix whatever it was that was needed to be fixed; but he also knew that the current thought was impossible. Very impossible.

"Jay, the others are already downstairs." Jake's voice snapped him out of his thoughts as he simply nodded at the younger.

He stood up from the bed, smoothing down the crease that had formed when he sat before walking towards the door of the room where Jake was standing by, patiently waiting for him. Jay inaudibly sighed, only the mere heave of his chest was obvious to Jake's eyes as he watched him from his spot.

It was pretty evident that Jay was having a hard time, especially knowing what's awaiting for him when they go down.

Jake laid a hand over his shoulders, gently squeezing it as a sign of comfort as they finally left the room.

"You sure you're gonna be okay mate?"

Jay said nothing for a few seconds, contemplating whether or not he should still come downstairs and greet faces he knew would give him a formidable amount of pain, or should he face them like the tough man that he claims to be.
