You inwardly sigh as you placed your head over your window glass, pulling your knees to your chest and adjusting the blanket around your shoulders. You then closed your eyes, sighing yet again.
It was supposed to be a nice Saturday morning for you. The plan you made with your boyfriend for the last week was going to happen today however, Niki was called to attend a briefing back at school and supposedly had to stay there for a few more hours to discuss over a few things for their club. Hence, the plan was then cancelled.
Despite that and the lingering feeling of dejectedness in the pit of your stomach, you tried to fill up your now vacant day. Fixing a few furniture inside your apartment and cleaning the whole space up to your heart's content. You also managed to cook a hearty meal for your lunch, before finishing off the half day with a nice warm bath.
A few hours passed and you since then have decided to just sit down and watch your favorite show when it started pouring. But here you were, enjoying the spontaneous plan of yours all by yourself.
You were in the middle of watching the show when a series of resonating knocks was heard from your door. You paused the show before wrapping the blanket around your shoulders and began walking towards the entrance of your home.
"Niki?" You wore a confused look at first upon seeing the boy standing in front of your door, but that immediately died down when you noticed the state he was in.
"Why are you soaked!?"
The boy awkwardly chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. "I was walking on the way to your apartment building when it started raining but I still had a long way to go so, I got wet running here."
You said nothing but pulled him by his wrist instead, your protective instincts kicking in as you gestured the bathroom to him.
"I'll find you some of the clothes you left here, you can wash your damped clothes and hang them to dry." You instructed before Niki went on his way just as you left him in the hall to go to your room.
Fortunately, Niki had a bag worth of clothes in your apartment. Mainly having to leave them because of your spontaneous sleep overs and that because you loved to wear something of his, so the boy lets himself leave a few articles from him laying inside your closet.
You placed the set of fresh clothes beside the small side table near the bathroom door, knocking and telling Niki that his clothes were there before you went back to your living space, still wrapped in your blanket.
As you sat, you played your show again and began your waiting time for Niki to come to the couch with you as well.

"I seriously hate the cold," was the first thing Niki complained before he crawled underneath the blanket with you in the couch.
"But I'd rather take hot showers than stay under the sun though."
You snort, gently pulling the fabric more to cover Niki's chest all the while you were slightly being swallowed by the blanket.
"I like the cold, and I like the rain."
"But you're not very good at handling the cold." Niki pointed out, giving you an accusing look as he spared you a glance.
"Yeah well I still like them." You argued.
Shifting his eyes back to the television, Niki nonchalantly says, "Remind me to put another reminder in my phone when winter nears. I can't have you walk somewhere with a piece of jacket and coat."
"Hey!"

A few more hours later, after binge watching your favorite show, hearing Niki's stomach grumble in the midst of it made you gently push the boy from cuddling you, muttering something about making dinner for the both of you before trudging to the kitchenㅡafter of course, teasing him about not entering the kitchen premise of yours. You made a nice, hefty portion for Niki to compensate for the hours he'd spent practicing for his dance club, making yourself a simple kimchi fried rice and a side of pickled radish, meat and your favorite drink.
"Thank you for the dinner!"
Niki helped you clean the dishes and fix the table setting when the two of you were done with your dinner. Exchanging a pleasant conversation about certain things, how'd your days went by and planning a few date trips for the upcoming week. Alongside that, Niki had also voiced out his little frustrations about what's happening in the club, how some of his seniors were not getting along hence dividing their team into random groups. Apparently, it has also been one of the reasons why Heeseung, their club president called the meeting in the first place.
"I just hope they'd settle down with their differences, y'know?" Niki continues as he then started fixing the duvet over bed. "It's a miracle even that we managed to discuss a few things over a while ago without them arguing. It's just stressing to the rest of the club members."
You nodded albeit a little unconsciously, brushing the ends of your hair in front of your study desk.
"What started their argument in the first place?"
Niki shrugs. "I don't even know. I was out when their argument took place a few days ago. I just learned about it yesterday when Jungwon told me."
"I think it's better if you juniors stay out of it. They're seniors, older than you by a few years or so. They should know better than to create more fuss inside the club and divide the members through determining who's side each and everyone's on." You commented, trying to act normal about it. "It wouldn't help you guys knowing you'll have to attend a competition in the next town, next two months."
Niki lays down on your bed, on top of your duvet, sighing. "I hope so too. It's hard to make comments here and there knowing someone could literally bite your head off if you pissed their already-pissed off heads."
Hearing that, you chuckle.
You made a glance at the time in your digital clock, seeing it already passed eight.
"I think you should head back now in the dorms, Niki-yah. Jake could be looking for you."
Niki simply nods his head, grabbing his bag from the side of your bad that he brought with him inside your room.
"Should we head out tomorrow?" He randomly asks as you walked through your hallway.
You shrugged. "If you have time, that is."
"...Right."
You took one of your umbrellas from the rack beside your door step, handing it to the taller boy.
"I can't risk you getting wet on the way to the dorms again."
Niki laughs, planting a small kiss on your head as he engulfs you in a hug.
"I'll call you later okay?" He reminds you, opening the door to your apartment.
You nodded, ushering him away with a smile.
"Hmm. And tell me if you have time tomorrow, maybe we could go out."
Kissing your head once again, Niki waves you goodbye as he heads out of your door.
"Good night doll! Love you!"
