ALL THE MUGGLES WALKING AROUND MADE MY HEART POUND. It felt as though their eyes were glued to me. Like they could just tell I was a wizard. I hated it. I knew no one was looking at me, but it didn't change the fact that I hated walking up to platform 9 3/4.

"Alright, Andrew. Go ahead," Mum said, motioning to my brother.

This was the part I hated most. It was running into the wall. Of course, the wall was magical, I knew that, but it still scared me. It looked solid, and if you walked to it, it was. I was always hesitant when running into it.

However, Andrew quickly ran to the red wall like it was no problem. The wall allowed Andrew through before he could break his nose on impact. Mum carefully placed a hand on my shoulder.

"You think you could do it by yourself? You are a prefect now," Mum said. She's right. I'm a prefect. I can run at a bloody wall, I thought.

"Nope," I said. "What if they see us running into a brick wall? What if I get expelled?!"

Mum shook her head, "No one has ever been expelled for trying to get to the platform, Alice."

"There's always a first for everything," I shrugged.

"Oh, Alice. What are we ever going to do with you?" Dad chuckled. "Come on." Dad grabbed the end of my trolly and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Come on, Duck. Together." I nodded. I tightened my grip on my trolly and my cats' cage. Dad patted my back twice, signalling to run.

I ran as fast as I could. The bricks got closer and closer until I scrunched my eyes closed. I couldn't look. I just knew if I kept them open, I would've stopped running.

Suddenly, the world got quiet and peaceful. I'm in the wall. The silence only lasted a second before loud chatter and commotion filled my ears.

"Alice, open your eyes," Mum said. I opened my eyes to see the beautiful red train—the Hogwarts Express. I couldn't help but smile. I loved Hogwarts.

"Oi! Took you long enough. Still scared to go alone?" Andrew chuckled.

"Oh, sod off." I elbowed him in the stomach. Andrew went to smack me, but Dad stopped him.

"Children, please. Not in public," Mum scolded. "Come here and say goodbye." Mum opened her arms, waiting for us. Andrew and I reluctantly walked into her warm arms. It wasn't all that comfortable, being squished with your brother next to you. Mum nearly squeezed us half to death. She kissed the top of our heads before pulling away. "You two be good," Mum said.

"I'm always good," I huffed.

"Andrew, be good. Alice, I permit you to put him in detention whenever you want," Dad said.
