MY BREATH HITCHED, AND MY HEART FELT AS THOUGH IT WOULD BURST FROM MY CHEST AT ANY SECOND. I stepped out into the chaos.

My parent's living room was a mess. The ceiling was destroyed, the stuffing in the couch was all over the floor. Not to mention there were burn marks along the walls, signalling a fight.

My nerves began to shake across my body. I didn't like the sight. Not at all.

"I knew you'd come. They didn't believe me, but here you are," A voice said.

I spun around.

There stood a man I did not know. He looked to be my age, maybe a bit older.

I pointed my wand at him.

"It's funny cause they thought I was so stupid to believe you would come back here. But look who was right?" He threw open his arms and yelled as if someone was listening to the conversation. "Your parents put up a great fight. Stupid if you ask me. Purebloods like you should be seeking out the Dark Lord, not fight against him."

"Some of us prefer the company of muggles," I scoffed.

The man laughed a horrifying laugh, one that reminded me of the lady from the dungeon. "I don't know why they want you so bad. You're a filthy blood traitor. But once I bring you in, they'll have to give me the mark. How could they not? I brought in the auror!"

"Who said you'd bring me in?" I scoffed.

"Oh, please. You're clumsy. A fool. A love-sick fool who can't even—"

I shot a spell at him.

He quickly blocked it. He smirked. "A terrible shot too."

I shot another spell at him. And another. And another. Until he struggled to defend himself from the speed, I was attacking.

He began to back into a wall while I crept forward. Before I knew it, we were a couple of meters away from each other—

SMACK!!

The man's fist collided with my jaw.

"Muggle fighting, are we?" I teased as I held my throbbing jaw.

"Bombarda!" The man pointed his wand to the ceiling above me. I dove out of the way as debris fell from the sky. A burning pain filled my right calf as a piece of the ceiling slashed it. However, I didn't let that stop me. I gritted my teeth together and gripped my wand.

"Alarte Ascendare!" I pointed at him. This made the man fly into the ceiling. Gravity then pulled him down on the floor. The sound alone made it known that it was a painful landing. I pointed my wand at the nearby Daily Prophet papers. "Oppungo." The documents immediately began to attack the man. A tornado of the Daily Prophet surrounded the man and began hitting him as he stood up. "Colloshoo." I hexed his feet to stay still.
