Alice

MY AUNT HAD BEEN AT MY HOUSE FOR ABOUT A WEEK. We had done multiple muggle activities with her. She, once, took Andrew and me to a cinnme or whatever it was called. It was like our paintings at school except with a story. I quite liked it, even if I was more interested in how it worked than the actual story.

She, also, took me shopping multiple times. It was always for clothes and ended with a trip to a restaurant. Because we shopped so often, Lily and I decided to go record shopping today. Since I didn't need new clothes.

I wore a brightly coloured broadcloth bare-back dress. The dress fell just above my knees. The sides were tied back into a bow that rested on my lower back. I placed my wand into a holder that stuck onto my thigh. I had cut my hair shorter recently and had it softly flicked.

My mum wasn't happy about it at first. Said Frank would like it longer, but I asked him and he said he'd loved me with or without long hair. So, I cut it. I mean, I would've cut it even if he said he wouldn't like it.

After I fixed my outfit, I left my yellow room, with heels in my hand, and walked down the stairs.

"Oh. Don't you look nice? Meeting that boy you always talk about?" Aunt Jean asked.

I chuckled, "No, not today. I'm going to shop with a friend of mine." I bent down and slid on my white sandal heels.

"What are you shopping for?" She stood up with a teacup in her hand.

"Records. Have you heard of them before?" I stood up. I brushed my hands along my skirt, flattening it.

"Records? Have I heard of records before?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded. She chuckled, "Of course I've heard of records before. I have quite a few back home."

"How come you've never shown me them before?" I asked.

"I prefer the radio."

"Oh," I said.

"Doing anything afterwards?" Aunt Jean asked.

"We're going to Diagon Alley and meeting a couple of more friends."

"Fun. Is Pandora joining you or no?" She asked.

"Uh, no. She's busy. I'll probably see her once school starts back up again." The truth was that Pandora had to stop owling me, so she wouldn't upset her mother. She told me she hopes to drop all contact with her family by Christmas, but has to blend in first so they don't come after her when she disappears.
