FrankWHISPERS FILLED THE GREAT HALL ABOUT THE WAR AND THE KILLINGS OVER THE SUMMER. Just thinking about it sent shivers down my spine. As Head Boy, I tried to calm and reassure everyone that we were safe at Hogwarts.
"Do you think we're safe here, Frank?" Peter asked.
"As long as Dumbledore's here, those murderers won't go near us," I reassured him.
My attention on Peter quickly vanished as I longed to see her again. I scanned the hall looking for beautiful dark hair.
"Watcha' lookin' for, Frank?" A redheaded girl asked. I looked at her and leaned down, making sure the boys couldn't hear me.
"Do you know a girl named Alice Fortescue?" I asked Lily Evans. I got along quite well with Lily. Lily was kind. Feisty every once and a while, but thoughtful nonetheless.
"Um... I know that name. Why do I know that name?" Lily repeated as if she was trying to remember. Marlene McKinnon sat down beside Lily as Lily mumbled.
"Where have you been?" I asked the blonde.
"Since when did you care?" Marlene began to place food on her plate.
"Since I became Head Boy and am in charge of you," I smirked, flashing my badge at her.
"Why would Dumbledore make you Head Boy?" Marlene glared.
"That's what I said!" Sirius said. I rolled my eyes and continued to scan the Hufflepuff table. I tried to get a glimpse of Alice.
"Marlene, do you know Alice Fortescue?" Lily asked. I turned to Lily when I heard Alice's name.
"Oh yeah. She's Andrew's younger sister, right? The quiet Hufflepuff? Did you know she's placed second in the whole school? She's the brightest girl in all of Hogwarts, not just in her year. And she's a natural at it." Marlene said while eating.
"That's why I know her name. I saw her name on that list of the top students in the Library last year. Does that help, Frank?" All eyes turned to me. The boys all smirked at me with mischief in their eyes.
"Ooo, Frank fancies someone!" James teased. I tried my best to keep my blush from coming up to my cheeks. "Awww, he's blushing."
"Quit it. What if he does? He doesn't need you to be teasing him when you can't even snog a girl," Lily exclaimed. Sirius broke into laughter.
"Every day, you make me like you more and more, Evans," Sirius smirked. Lily scoffed and began to talk with Marlene.

Alice
"You talked to him? Like actually talked to him?" Pandora asked. Although we weren't allowed to sit at each other's tables, since it was a feast, we sat facing each other, away from the table. Our feet were in the aisle between the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables. Our plates rested on our laps as we talked.
