Taehyung sighed heavily and tried to close his eyes shut by ignoring the small poking on his cheeks. But he felt like the other was not going to give up on poking him. Taehyung sat up on his sofa and looked at Kim Seokjin who immediately stood up by stopping his actions.
"What is it, Mr. Kim? Can't you see that I am trying to sleep here?" Kim Taehyung tried not to raise his voice but with Jin disturbing his beautiful sleep made him to snap out. It's been more than fiver hours since the rain storm has started.
Jin and Taehyung finished their diner quickly and went to bed early. Taehyung was not feeling good about the storm outside but he knew that nothing could be done. He was sure that his crops would have spoiled right now with the heavy rain fall.
That broke his heart and he didn't want to look upset and defeated in front of Kim Seokjin. But the other seemed to love waking him up.
"I-I am just afraid of thunders." Seokjin confessed quietly. Taehyung rubbed his eyes with back of his palm and looked at Jin who was standing in front of him. Jin was wrapped around with a blanket and his face and ears were red.
Taehyung felt like the other had taken a bath just few minutes before.
"Did you shower at this hour?" Taehyung ignored the other's confession and furrowed his eyebrows by looking at Jin's damp hair. While waiting for the answer, Jin without replying he sat beside Taehyung and brought his knees together by wrapping the blanket tightly.
Taehyung groaned in annoyance by Jin's behavior. But he was not in the mood of fighting or arguing so he shrugged it off without questioning.
"I don't have a good relationship with thunders." Jin broke the silence and only the sound of rain drops and thunders could be heard along with his beautiful voice. Taehyung looked aside at Jin who was having his head turned to the other side of the glass door and seeing the storm.
Taehyung didn't know what to say or ask. So he remained silent for the other to continue.
"Have you ever lived with your parents, farmer?" Taehyung widened his eyes by the sudden question. Though he must admit that he wasn't feeling sleepy either. He tried to get some sleep so that he could divert his mind from thinking about his ruined farm.
"Uh, I don't remember. They died when I was young. I-I lived with my grand mother though." Taehyung answered truthfully to which Jin just hummed in response. Jin closed his eyes while thinking about his broken family.
"It's better that you didn't live with your parents, farmer. It's a nightmare to see your parents dying infront of you and you could do nothing about it. I-It's just painful, you know."
Taehyung gulped by every word that left Jin's plump lips. He wasn't sure if should comfort the other or just be a good listener. Jin opened his eyes and looked at the lightening that came with a thunder.
"In my early twenties I became the CEO after my father's death. You know many men took me as an easy target. "He is just a boy what can he do?"
But they didn't knew that just a boy could do anything if he had a passion. With the help of my uncle and my friend I shooed away the people who treated me as a small boy.
They forgot that a small ant could kill an elephant. And so I destroyed their business by building up mine. I loved seeing their defeated looks and their pleadings sounded beautiful to my ears."
Taehyung was having his eyes fixed on Jin's back who never once turned his head at him. The farmer wasn't sure why the other was sharing something personal. He knew that Jin loved to keep is personal life within himself. He never loved to show his weakness to his so called enemies.
"I am telling you this because winning isn't easy, farmer. And if you want to win the battle, you got to work for it. Just curling up in a corner and mourning over the loss would help nothing.
You are so young and I appreciate your effort that you put for your property. But I also dislike people who give up so easily. If you want it, fight for it then."
Taehyung felt like Jin kind of understood his worries. He didn't know how but he could see why Jin was talking to him.
"Also I am your hyung give some respect, farmer" Jin and Taehyung chuckled by the last confession. Taehyung waited for the other to turn and look at him but the other never did. Soon Taehyung heard some soft snores coming from his side.
And he knew that Kim Seokjin had drifted off to his dreamland. Taehyung looked at the glass door and he could see the rainfall still pouring heavily. He left a heavy sigh by thinking about his ruined crops. He needed rain for them to grow but not a storm to destroy.
But thankfully Taehyung had some ideas of growing fruits and vegetables on his vast land. He was not going to mourn over the loss of his rice paddy field. And deep inside he was thankful for Kim Seokjin for telling him and giving him some encouragement.
"You are not that bad, Mr. Kim." Taehyung whispered but Jin smiled by the confession. He wasn't sleeping but silently listening to the rain and the thunder storm.
"Hyung, my ass." Taehyung hissed and laid on the other sofa by facing his back at Jin. He wasn't aware that Kim Seokjin was smirking at his sudden words but they both were feeling comfortable by being there for each other.
