Chapter 1

I was in a deep sleep. I was so comfortable. Until my alarm clock went off. I always set my alarm for 4:45 a.m. There are two reasons why I get up that early. One, I take a long time to get ready. Two, I don't want to see my stepfather because he would always abuse me. I always have bruises on me from when he hits me. I am afraid to come home every single day because I know he is going to be home and I know what's going to happen when I walk through the front door. Anyway, I got up out of bed and went to my closet, and grabbed the clothes that I am going to wear for today. I decided to wear something comfortable, so I decided to wear a white long-sleeve shirt, black leggings, cozy socks, and ugg boots. I went to my connecting bathroom to take a quick shower and when I was done in the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel. I came out of the bathroom and got dressed. I put my makeup on because I have bruises on my face from my stepfather hitting me. After I'm done with that, I looked at myself in my mirror to make sure that I looked decent. After I'm done with that, I quietly and quickly went down downstairs, get my car keys, and head to McDonald's to get myself breakfast.

It was only 6:00 a.m. when I got there. So, I decided to just eat there. I got out of my car and headed inside. When I got inside, I ordered my food, I ordered pancakes, two hash browns, egg mc-muffin, and chocolate milk. I paid and then waited for them to call my number. While I was waiting for my food, someone walked in and I was so nervous. It was the school's bad boy. Colson Baker for short I called him Cole. Cole always got detentions. He was always late for class too. I have a crush on him, but I know he would never go out with me. Even at my school, there is a popular girl named Ashley. Ashley is so obsessed with Cole. She would never leave him alone. I know for a fact that he wants her to leave him alone because I can see it on his face. That goes for both of us because Ashley will never leave me alone either. Ashley and I are mostly enemies. A long time ago, we used to be friends, but ever since she became popular, we were no longer friends. Anyway, he went up to the cashier to order his food and to tell you the truth, he ordered the same thing as me. They called my number and I went to get my food. I sat down at a booth. I began to eat my food until someone asked,

"Is this seat taken?"

I looked up and saw that it was Cole. I was in complete shock. Colson Baker was actually talking to me. I shook my head.

"Can I sit here?" He asked.

I nodded.

'OMG!!!' I thought.

Cole sat down beginning to eat his food and I did the same. We ate in silence. It was silent the whole time. I looked at my phone and it was 6:30a.m. I drank all my milk, ate my two hash browns and my pancakes, but I did not eat my egg mc-muffin. So, I decided to save it for lunch.

"I'm Cole," Cole said.

"I'm Sabrina" I replied.

"I gotta go," I said.

"Okay. I'll see you at school." He said.

"Okay," I replied shyly.

I walked to the trash to dump my trash and walked out of McDonald's and got in my car and drove to school.
