We walked down to the office together and I saw Mark (my step-father). I was scared that I held onto Cole.

"It's okay baby girl. I'm right here." Cole quietly said to me.

I calmed down a little bit, but not that much. Mark saw us coming and he was confused.

"Who is this Sabrina?" Mark asked.

"I'm Cole. Sabrina's boyfriend." Cole answered for me.

I was shocked. I can't believe that Cole said that. I mean, I don't know why he would say that. Mark was surprised. I couldn't blame him.

"Wow," Mark said shocked.

"Yeah. Cole is my boyfriend" I said playing along with Cole's plan. Even if it was a plan.

"Well, it was nice to meet you Cole, but Sabrina and I have things to do. Come on Sabrina." Mark said.

"She's not going anywhere with you." Cole said.

"Yes, she is. We have things to do." Mark said getting frustrated.

"No, she's not. I am not letting her go with you." Cole said.

Mark was getting really impatient and he does not look happy. Mark looked at me.

"Do you want to stay with him or come with me?" Mark asked me.

I wanted to stay with Cole, but I don't know what is going to happen when I get home, but I will take a risk.

"I want to stay with Cole and stay at school." I said.

Cole smiled and Mark was pissed.

"No, you are not. You are coming with me." Mark said grabbing my arm with all of his might and dragged me to the school's exit doors.

Cole grabbed my other arm and pulled me into him and I was shocked that he pulled me out of Mark's strong hand. Mark walked towards me and Cole pushed me behind him.

"Stay back. She is not going with you. She is staying with me whether you like it or not." Cole said protectively.

"Fine, but when she gets home today, she is going to be dead." Mark said leaving the school.

Cole turned around and looked at me.

"I can't go home, Cole. I just can't." I said breathing heavy.

"Hey, calm down. You are not going home. You are going to come with me to my place. It will just be the two of us." Cole said.

"No you don't have to do that for me. I don't want to be a burden to you." I said.

"You would never be a burden to me and I care about your safety." Cole replied.

"But, how am I going to stay with you if I don't have any clothes?"

"We can buy you some new clothes,"

"Okay,"

The bell rang and I knew I had to get to period three.

"What class do you have next?" Cole asked.

"Math," I said.

Cole nodded and took my hand and walked me to math class. I told Cole that I had to go to my locker first. He nodded and took me to my locker. I opened my locker and I grabbed my math stuff and closed my locker. Cole put my hand into his and walked me to math class.
