You ran out of the building trying your best to avoid the falling objects. The company you worked at had been attacked and the villains could be anywhere in the building. You were running towards the exit, trying to avoid the villains and the falling building that the explosions had cuased.
You were close to the exit when you noticed one of the villains who was closing up on a little girl. Without thinking for a second, you ran forward, tackling the villain as you screamed for the girl to run. You watched as the girl ran towards the exit before the villain had you in his grip, snickering.
"You like to act like a hero, huh?" he said, his grip on your throat tightening."Why don't I treat you like one?"
"Let go of the girl!"
You stopped struggling to look at who had spoken. You gasped in surprise, seeing the pro hero, Miruko standing a little distance away from you. The villain looked as well and smirked.
"And why should I," the villain growled, looking at the pro, threateningly."She's my escape ticket. After all, you wouldn't want an innocent girl to die, now would you?"
You looked at the pro with panicked eyes. You knew Miruko would never risk anyone's life but that would mean the villain would escape. If only you could somehow distract him, giving Miruko enough time to attack.
"Do you even have a quirk?" you mocked, signalling at Miruko to proceed slowly.
"Does it matter?" he replied back but he was making sure to keep his voice low so the pro doesn't hear him."The pro doesn't know and if you even try telling her, your precious neck would be at my disposal."
You scoffed, trying your best to hide your smirk. So, the villain didn't know Miruko's quirk which was good. You watched as Miruko jumped forward, kicking the villain with both her legs.
You took a couple of steps back, just as Miruko landed back down.
"Are you okay?"
You nodded your head, breathing heavily as you looked at the villain, now on the ground, holding his stomach in pain.
"Did you even know what my quirk is?" Miruko asked the villain."My quirk gives me bunny like features which include.....excellent hearing."
"You tricked me!" the villain yelled at you just as two police officers came to handcuff him.
"And you tried killing me," you shot back, smiling just as you saw a red laser.
The laser was pointed at the roof right above Miruko. You didn't have time to warn her just as you pushed her to the side, the roof fell on top of you. Miruko turned around confused just as she noticed another villain who had shot the roof in hopes of trapping the pro.
The villain ran away, a few pros after him while Miruko turned to you. She used her feet to push the roof off of you before bending down and picking you up. You wrapped your arms around her neck, her grip on you tightening.
"Hold on tight," she whispered just as she jumped through the broken room."Why did you jump in like that?"
"You could've gotten hurt," you whispered back, looking up at her with a smile."And I wouldn't have wanted that."
"So, you injured yourself instead?" Miruko asked, her voice a bit stern.
You guys were able to get out of the building and the pro laid you in one of the ambulance stretchers. You watched her talking to the nurse before turning to you again.
"Don't worry, you're in safe hands," she said before holding up something in her hand. It was a card with her mother." Call me when you recover, okay?"
You smiled, nodding your head as they dragged the stretcher into the ambulance, the last thing you saw was Miruko waving at you.
