I had been training in combat and with ODM gear for a while now. I definitely wasn't the best, but I had the basic skills I'd need to survive if the worst came to worst.
Erwin had let everyone know that we would be doing a small mock expedition for both the newer cadets and myself, just so we could get a feel for what it might be like outside the walls. The squad leaders would supervise aswell as demonstrate for the newcomers. It would take place deeper in the forest used for ODM training, where there were multiple wooden Titans set up.I sat in my cart and checked over the quality and quantity of the medical supplies provided as everyone else geared up and got their horses.
Once everyone was ready we began to ride in the direction of the forest. The cart was bumpier than I had expected off road, so I made a mental note incase I would have to treat someone on the move.
We arrived at the mock titan grounds shortly and every took off and zipped through the trees as I watched from my cart. I was wearing my ODM gear but didn't want to act without orders and possibly be punished, even though it looked extremely fun to fly around so freely.
I had spaced off for a bit until I noticed two familiar figures approaching me. Captain Levi had a deep scowl on his face while Hange looked like she was about to shit herself. She was talking rapidly to Levi while he just stared forward.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you coming and went to kill it and-"
They walked up to the cart and stood in front of me. I noticed Levi's shoulder was stained red."What happened?" I questioned, concern lacing my voice.
"Shitty glasses wasn't paying attention and cut me while I was training." The man spat angrily.
"Well come here, I need to inspect the wound." I shifted in the cart and patted the spot next to me.
"I can handle it myself, it's just-"
"Sit." I ordered.
His mouth parted slightly in surprise before sitting next to me.
"Welllll if you've got this covered, I'm going to save myself while I can!" Hange shouted and began to run back towards the rest.
"Tch."
"I'm going to need you to remove your jacket sir."
Levi glanced at me and paused before slowly removing his uniform, leaving him in a white long sleeve shirt.
I began to pull his shirt collar to the side to inspect the wound. I felt the captain tense at my actions before relaxing when I studied the injury.
"Well, good news is it was a shallow cut. It's long but not deep enough that you'll need stitches." I turned in the cart and began rummaging through my supplies. "I do need to sanitize the wound, which may sting a little. But it should be nothing compared to past injuries from titans I'm sure." I spoke as I
pulled out a cloth and antiseptic."Im fine. I could've handled it myself, Eyebrows ordered me to come so you could practice treating injuries in action." He mumbled staring off into the forest.
"I'm sure you're very capable Captain, I appreciate you giving me something to do." I chuckled. He hummed in response.
I pulled back his shirt collar once again and dabbed the antiseptic soaked cloth on the gash. I then took some bandages and began dressing the wound. All the while Levi didn't move an inch and gazed into the forest.
(Levi's POV)-
Hange sprinted off into the forest and left me sitting next to y/n. I swear to god when we get back to headquarters she's dead.
"I'm going to need you to remove your jacket sir."
My eyes shot over to her as here gaze shifted from my shoulder to my face. Remembering the situation I began to take off my uniform, careful not to move my shoulder too much. She reached for my shirt collar and slowly pulled it down my shoulder. I immediately tensed and tried to keep my composure as her fingers brushed down beside the cut. I practically held my breath in attempt to keep my face from flushing.
"I do need to sanitize the wound, which may sting a little. But it should be nothing compared to past injuries from titans I'm sure." She addressed me.
"Im fine. I could've handled it myself, Eyebrows ordered me to come so you could practice treating injuries in action." I said a little harsher than intended. She laughed slightly and spoke.
"I'm sure you're very capable Captain, I appreciate you giving me something to do."
I hummed in response, again attempting to suppress the redness I felt growing in my face.
She began tending to my shoulder. It stung slightly, but was bearable. I glanced over as she worked and saw a look of total concentration. Her eyebrows where slightly furrowed as she held her intense gaze on the gash as she wiped up the blood. Her fingers pressed gently but firmly against my skin as she worked. I shifted my gaze back on the forest as she finished bandaging my shoulder.
"All done!" She said gleefully. "You should be ok to go back out, just make sure not to over exert yourself."
I stayed in place for a few seconds before picking up my jacket and walking towards the forest. I paused after a few steps and glanced back at her.
"... thank you." I said quietly before walking into the forest, not waiting for her response.

(Y/n's POV)-
We went out to the forest a few more times during the next month. I would occasionally get a soldier come up to me and have me treat an injury from training, but every time the soldiers practiced with the wooden titans captain Levi would come to me with a new injury. It was never serious, usually a scrape from a fall or a bruise from running into a titan. Nevertheless I treated every injury while he sat in silence.
After we arrived back to headquarters following another day of training I sat next to Hange in the dining hall and ate. Commander Erwin and Levi didn't accompany us as they had a meeting instead.
"Captain Levi sure is clumsy isn't he?" I chuckled as I ate my bread.
"What are you talking about? He never gets injured." Hange questioned.
"Every time we train in the forest he has a new injury for me to treat. They're always from falling or running into something."
Hange paused for a second before an evil grin appeared on her face. "I see..."
