I'm currently putting the lasagna into the oven, after me and Paige finally was able to make one.

Paige is walking around the apartment again, exploring the spaces she yet haven't been able to look at. I'm thinking about following her, but that might be too awkward.

I nervously run a hand through my hair. I really, really, liked the way Paige's lips felt against mine, and how this warm and lovely feeling kept spreading throughout my whole body when I kissed her. But I'm kind of regretting it now.

Paige kissed me back, but maybe she just felt like she needed to? I mean, I was literally holding her face while kissing her. And now, afterwards, it's all a bit awkward between us. And she's kind of trying to act like it didn't happen.

I sigh, feeling even more anxious than I did before. I really like her, I don't want to mess things up already. Because I really, really, really want to be able to just grab her hand and kiss her lips whenever I feel like it.

I set the timer, grabbing my glass before starting to look for Paige.

She's in the living room, studying the pictures on the wall.

"Just so you know," I say, placing myself next to her, "my old modelling pictures isn't on this wall."

"Oh, I see." She laughs. "Is that Riley?"

She points towards a picture.

"Yeah, with my sister." I say, softly smiling. "I think she was about two there."

Paige takes a step closer, studying the picture. "Wow, she has such pretty eyes. They're so blue."

"Yeah, she got them from her mom." I say, tilting my head to the side while looking at the picture.

"She have your hair and facial features though." Paige looks at Riley, then at me. "You're really alike."

"Really? People often can't tell that we're even related." I softly laugh. "The only thing that she really got from me is her hair."

"That's weird, I can totally see you in her."

"Thanks, I guess." I mumble, looking down. I'm thinking about taking her hand, my hand feels slightly lonely without her fingers intertwined with mine. But before I can move, she grabs my hand in her.

"So, what are you gonna show me next?"

-

"I really liked it!" Paige giggles, jumping up at the counter.

"It barely tasted anything, Paige." I groan, putting away the dishes. "I'm sorry."

"Calum, I liked it."

"Liar." I look over at her. "Anyways, you'll love the dessert!"

"I will?" She smiles at me.

"Yup." I grab her hand, looking down at our hands before up at her face again. "I'm buying you whatever McDonald's ice cream you want."

"Oh, Calum Hood, you're such a sweetheart." She laughs, her green eyes focusing on my brown ones.

"I know." I smile.

Even though I don't intend to stare at her, I can't help but to look at her figure in that dress. She might be sitting down, but the dress still makes her breathtaking. She sits with one leg over the other one, resting our connected hands on her thigh.

"What are you thinking about?" Paige asks, making me look up at her.

"I'm thinking about kissing you again," I mumble, not even thinking about what I'm saying until it slips out. How stupid aren't I?

Paige smiles, dragging me a bit closer until I'm standing between her legs, our hands still connected. "So why don't you?"

I return her smile, placing my hands on either side of her on the counter, leaning in. I let my lips press against hers. Softly at first, before they slowly start to move in sync.

Paige slips her arms around my neck, causing me to stumble even closer to her. I place my palms on her thighs, tilting my head slightly to the side to be able to deepen the kiss.

Man, I haven't done this for so long. I just can't help but groan softly when her tongue runs over my lip.

While Paige's hands goes to my hair, I let my own ones run up her sides, and then down her spine. I'm trying to keep her closer, leaning even more forward until her head hits the wall behind us.

"You want to move?" She mumbles, clearly uncomfortable with her spot on the hard counter.

"Mhm." I nod, kissing down her neck as she wraps her legs around my waist. I take a steady grip on her hips, her hands guiding my face up to her lips as I manage to stumble away with her in my arms.

Half way to the bedroom, I stop, pressing her back up against the wall instead of keep going. It's when she breaks free from my lips and leaves a trail of soft kisses against my jaw that I realise what I'm doing.

"Paige.." I mumble, quite out of breath. "Paige, I can't do this."

She immediately pulls away, looking at me while breathing fast. "Huh?"

"We need to stop here. I.. I can't go further." I say, praying in my mind that she won't be too disappointed.

Paige looks at me, her pretty green eyes studying my face. When she finally speaks, her voice is both low and soft. "Okay."

"I shouldn't have lead you on like that. I just.. I'm sorry." I sigh, carefully putting her down. "I mean, it's not like I don't want to, I just can't."

"Hey, it's okay." She says, smoothing her dress out.

"I'm a dad, you know. I have Riley to think about." I say. "I can't just have sex with you and then not speak to you again or something. Not that I think that will happen between us, I just.. I need to be responsable. Mainly for her sake."

"It's fine, I totally understand." Paige moves some hair from her eyes, putting it behind her ear.

"I just need to know that all of this isn't just a game to you. I need to make sure that it's serious before doing anything."

"It's no big deal, Calum." She says, softly smiling. "Stop apologising, I understand."

"I need to be careful, and I want to take things slow. For her. And for me, of course."

"It's fine." Paige grabs my hand, squeezing it. "Let's just keep talking over that ice cream you promised me, okay?"
