Quirin notice as his son make his way to his room that night, hearing the same sad tune Varian have sang at the castle as he went to pick him up for dinner. He sighed and carefully take on the handle to go into the room. He saw him curling on his bed with some little tears on his eyes. Ruddiger beside him nudging him in consolation and support.

"You are no monster, my son. You are a good boy" He said with a sad smile approaching him

"Teenager "he corrected distractedly.

"Teenager. You are doing your best. I can see that. Please, don't think that about yourself. I 'm proud of how much you're growing. I 'm sure I will be even more proud as the days pass. That I can say for sure "he said as reassuringly as he could.

"Th-thank you dad, but if you say so ... Do you also meant that Ca-"

"We do not speak of her at home "he said sternly at the sudden change of topic

"But Dad-"

"Son, she is right now the enemy" Quirin said as his brow furrowed in slight anger trying not to spoil the sweet moment they just had.

"I know -but she is not a monster"

"You can say that for sure?"

"I know her better than you¡" -he growled but just then ad calmly – "I mean -Dad, she was my friend. Surely I might find a way for her to-"

" Give up the Moonstone"

"To get out of it. To understand she doesn't need that stone to be great and powerful, to understand there's another way. Dad, this is important and I will understand if you do not agree but let me try, don't stop me please" He implored eyes full of determination, worry and something else he couldn't identify.

"I won't. Only if you let me tell you something you don't know-When you're ready"

"Sure thing, dad" He agreed with a small smile up to his eyes.

Quirin smiled back glad to have saved the moment but slightly worried by what he just promised. He knew how much they meant to his beloved son.

On the weekend ....

"Can't believe I'm still stuck here for some time. It burns my muscles "Varian growled at the pain he felt in them.

"Like you had much to lose" a guard beside him spat.

"I might not have that much, but I appreciate it so bear with me" Varian talked back.

"Don't talk to me like that" The guard growled

"Uhhfff"-he mumbled under his breath

"What was that"-The guard shout

"Nothing"-Varian said in a low voice

"Back to work ,108"-the guard commanded sternly.

"Alright" he signed in defeat and start picking up the bunch of hay in his arms.

Later that week ...

Varian and Rapunzel were chatting at her room once again. Sitting down and letting the words out of their minds.

"Rapunzel, I don't know what else to do I-I just" Varian said pretty caught up with it all.

"Varian, I'm sorry, so sorry I can't do more. My father it's at his process of having his memories back. The only way to get him in sweet mood would be -that's it ¡ thanks Varian and I'm coming tomorrow really thank you" -She said brightly as an idea pupped at her head "You're welcome. I guess" he said as she sat up and start walking thought the exit when suddenly she turned back. "Oh, I almost forgot.... Are they threating you well?" She said with concern clear in her eyes.

"Apart from physical work overload-yeah I guess so" he said a bit grimly remembering last weekend there

"Oh Varian. Tell me if they cross the line. I'm coming with a solution, Varian. I pro- swear I won't stop until you're free" she said with determination and a comforting smile.

"Thanks, your highness. Good luck" he said as he watched her go. Hopefully this time the princess could keep her word.

"Oh, and it's Rapunzel, Varian "

"Yeah sorry I forgot about that" he said putting a hand behind his head- "Besides, aren't you late for a meeting with Eugene?" he added smirking at her.

"Oh-right, but later we will have a group meeting so, don't be late Varian"

"I won't, Rapunzel"-she beamed out at last and Varian just wondered what would happen with them -with him -with her...

" Cassandra, you're doing it wrong

You are not trying enough" The spirit said calmly but sternness clear in her voice.

"I am"-she snarl as she furiously looked at her.

"I mean- you surely are. Just afraid that you might not be able to reach your destiny. That's all. You're the monster here, Cassandra. The misunderstood one, but you're the one who will change everything for the better. Corona will fall, time to rise, Darling, and be who you were meant to be"

"Be who they fear and hate? "she said in a whisper.

"No, who they respect. Didn't you say so yourself? They will know you are the one in charge" she said in a comforting tune still not full of emotion.

"I -alright. I'm just gonna try harder then. I'll be back soon. Is that alright with you?" she asked cautiously and a bit annoyed.

"Sure, Cassandra. W-You surely need it"

Cassandra noticed the change of words and frowned, but decided that for now she have better things to focus on. "Bye them" she deadpanned as she went into the woods.

'She doesn't suspect a thing just like her mother 'the creature thought smirking evilly on her mind at the fact.
