Chapter 43

Someone

After sending the two children to the nursery, Juan began to buy some groceries for her and JuJu and decided to buy alongside Xiao Ruo's share.

The dry ingredients for her baked sweets have already dwindled and she needs to buy more. After all, JuJu and her classmates seem to love those she baked which makes her happy and fulfilled.

She constantly worries if JuJu is bullied or if she's being looked down on by the teachers and the parents in that private school. After all, she and JuJu are just someone who managed to lift their feet from mud after years of being stuck on it.

"There's no need for you to wait here, I'll just call a cab after finishing," she told the driver, and then she was off.

It's been a long time since she had gone straight to the food store without checking my wallet or just stand by and look obviously at the people buying several boxes and bags of food.

She now has a stable job and she doesn't need to worry much about JuJu's education. All seems to be working well for her and she never would have thought that it'll happen in just a few years. In her mind she would be tiring her bones from work day and night and JuJu would attend a normal public school and finish college if she earned enough cash. Maybe by twenty years, that's when she'll find herself sitting in the living room with their new house.

She then proceeds to the canned food section and wanted to take that fruit can above but she was too short to reach it. She was about to call an employee when a man reached above her head and hand it to her.

"T-Thank you" she looked up, seeing a somewhat familiar face yet it remain blurry in her mind, she just took him as someone she's seen in the street.

She turned her back and was about to turn into another corner when the man behind her called out her name.

"Juan!"

She looks back and asked. "Do I know you?" She looks at the professional-looking young man in front of her.

She feels somehow familiar with his face but she can't put her finger on it. The man a bit shocked but then recovered his calm expression.

"It's me, Yu Han, from the orphanage"

"JuJu, Wei Ren doesn't like you" she heard Wan Wan whisper in her ears.

"She doesn't? Why?" How can anyone not like me? I'm charming, I'm beautiful and I'm smart! How could she well first of all, who is that Wei Ren?

"She said her mommy told her not to talk to you, she's bad JuJu" Wan Wan continued while I pretend to be calm and think of who she's talking about.

That's when I realized who Wei Ren is when I roamed my eyes around the class and saw a girl with slanted eyes looking at me in anger.

Oh, she's the child I shouted to be ugly before. I also remember her blood sucking of a mother who wanted to take my gold thighs away.

Hmph! First come first serve! I already have my arms wrapped around their golden thighs so don't ever think that your mother can take them away from me.

Besides, her mother is too much! She even told her child to stay away from another child because she didn't get to talk with the Wu's. Hmph! I can already predict this child's personality by the end of the year.

"It's fine, JuJu likes Wan Wan and Wan Wan also likes JuJu right?" I blink my eyes at her and asked and sure enough, she nodded her head like a rattling drum and hugged me.

"Me too, I also like JuJu" I heard Xiao Ruo mumbling from behind me and flashed him a smile which vanished his stormy expression.

Tsk, it's hard to maintain everyone's favor to you, it's even harder to hold a golden thigh when the thigh you're holding to is just the same level as you.
