Decision

I knew that my question about grandparents would just let them know of the matter that they don't bother to tell their child, I should also give them a realization and importance of why you should tell your child of some of your family affairs.

Ju Yi was a crafty fox, he would always create a thousand reasons why he should sleep here in our home and the benefits in a child's development when seeing their father actively playing and teaching them. Although some of his reasons were plausible, a lot of them are just pure bullsh*ts.

I applaud him for his shamelessness and his thick face, he would shed his outside persona and do silly things just to get Juan to smile and soften her ice-cold heart.

Meanwhile, I sat there with the smell of a single dog while they- dog blood couple spread dog food making me want to vomit.

"I want this story daddy!" I pushed the rather conspicuous children's story entitled 'Grandma's adventures'.

Juan saw the title and fell into a daze before I jumped on the bed.

"JuJu, I told you to stop jumping on the bed. What if you fall over?" She soft reprimanded but her brows were in a scrunch.

"Don't worry, I'm here, I won't let JuJu fall, and of course if you fall, I'll be there to  catch you"

Vomit! Argh! They're too much!

"Daddy! Read my story!" I jump into his arms as he catches me with just one hand.

"Okay, okay" Ju Yi laughed and begun to read the story animatedly. I burst into laughter as his voice transformed into an old woman's voice and then turned back into a little girl.

It didn't take long for me to yawn and soon, my head hit the pillows and I was soon off to dreamland.

Meanwhile, Juan fell into silent contemplation, her brows furrowed as she began to re-examine her life now.

It would be a lie if she says that she doesn't think of her parents for some period. She does, she just doesn't want to fall into a loop of thinking after all she still has JuJu to raise and other matters to finish.

It has never left her mind, the question of why her parents never searched for her. Why? Why didn't they search for her? Why was she abducted? Why was it her that experience this? Why?

She has a lot of questions for her parents and even though she has reached adulthood, she still craves to have a mother who would teach her to cook, a father to scare her suitors and dote on her.

"What are you thinking?" Ju Yi asked out of the blue, Juan blinked and looked at him.

"My parents" she whispered, she knew Ju Yi could understand her after all they were in the same circumstances in the past.

"We could search for them or we can tell Xiao Ruo about our experiences, of course, it would be a shallow explanation and we would tell her the full details when she's old enough" he said, he was waiting for her response.

He knew her well, she wasn't like him who can easily erase and sever the word family from himself. She longed for her parents, he heard her reminiscing about her parents and telling him how much she was loved at home.

Their circumstances were different from one another, he couldn't just put his decision without asking for her opinions. He respects her for she is his lover, not his possession, she's a human with both a brain and a heart. She can think for herself, she can feel emotions different from his.

"I want to look for them... and also ask them questions" he heard her say after a long silence.

"Okay, we will do that" he caresses her head and left the room, his room was outside in the living room, his make-shift bed on the couch.

He can only sleep in here amidst his high-end villa and the luxurious set of bedrooms but he was much satisfied here in the comforts of his family.

He can only work harder so that Jusn can let him into their family, it doesn't matter if he has to wait for years. He would rather wait than have no hope.
