Doubt

JuJu was fast asleep in the room along with Xiao Ruo, both of their faces covered in tears and snot were now cleaned. The adults left the room after making sure that the windows and doors were locked and secured.

Soon, they all went to the living room, each of their faces dim and serious. After what happened, they all fell into a deep fear and surround themselves in contemplation.

It was the second time that JuJu was taken by someone and it still makes her body cold at the thought of never seeing her again. Juan has experienced this frightening event but it still gives her nightmares.

"Why is someone targeting JuJu?" Ju Yi asked out of the blue, three pairs of eyes look at him, they too also felt that this person targeted JuJu but what is the reason for it?

JuJu was just a child, she couldn't step on someone's foot and made them go for revenge nor had she done anything wrong that gives birth to resentment. They all eliminated the thoughts of JuJu being related to any of the people that don't like her or have any animosity toward her or the lack of it. Of course JuJu's family unlikely thought of their previous princess being a two-faced person.

"Let's check the USB first then" He Yan suggested and the three looked at her, Wu Rong Heng placed his laptop on the desk as He Yan pushed the USB in.

There they saw a file, it was named Evidence, it was the only data encrypted in the USB and so they clicked on it.

That's when a recording burst in, at first it was just silence so they all decided to take a wireless earphone and stuck it ok their ears to prevent anyone from hearing the file.

It took them almost half an hour before the record starts, they listened keenly and after that, they all have dark faces on them. Their expressions were terrible, Juan was expressing her anger in tears while Ju Yi whispered comforts and promises to her.

He Yan on the other hand took a deep breath, it was clear that she was suppressing her anger. Wu Rong Heng immediately left and contacted his men then returned.

"I knew that there was something wrong with her" He Yan broke the silence after Juan and Ju Yu left to the children's room.

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you she... she was family" Wu Rong Heng could only mutter, his eyes dim and his expression lost.

He treated her as family, although not by blood, he treated her as family kike everyone else does. He still remembers that naive and sunny smile that she gave after seeing him, calling him elder brother with that brilliance in her eyes.

She was family, she was his younger sister, the two of them were close as real siblings.

To think that she'll do this to her nephew, to her family, he felt lost. He was known to be gentle and playful unlike other men in the Wu family. He wasn't like the other CEO who values wealth and power, he can do all of those things again but what he truly values is family.

Maybe that's why he truly felt sad after knowing of her crime.

His hand was held by He Yan, he looked up to her solemn eyes, those pair of eyes that would instantly arouse his affection.

"I know, but this... this isn't what an aunt should do to her nephew" she gritted her teeth and said those words, she wanted to lash out at him but knew that he was already hurt.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of this-"

"No, we will take care of this. We can't leave this matter unattended, we need more evidence to make sure she's locked up" He Yan knew that the Wu's would definitely tamper the evidence and also hide this matter from the public.

Reputation is something that every affluent family cherishes and they do not want to lose face especially to those who envied and hate them. This will leave a stain and that is something that will carry on in their life for a long time.

But He Yan would rather get their family to have their reputations tarnished than to prevent them from getting their child's justice.

"I'll do what you say"
