Shadow: Forces (Cringe)

Chapter 6: Space Port

"Hitchhikers may be attacking Hedgehogs."

A little while later, Shadow and the rest of Team Dark were on the edge of Space Port, overlooking the docks and pipes. "What's the plan?" Rouge asked. Shadow crossed his arms "You and Omega will provide a distraction while I steal one of their ships and get us all out."
"Sounds like a plan." Rouge responded quietly. Omega simply nodded, his guns ready. They all hopped down and Shadow split from the others, waiting for them to go ahead and wreck some havoc. He heard bots moving their way and quickly starting running towards the docks. He then heard Rouge on the radio
"Shadow, what happened in there?"
"I made a big mistake. With Dare... I..."
"Sigh... well she's missing now!"
Shadow stopped "What!?"
"Yeah, last report said she was on the edge of town, then she disappeared."
"Dang it! If Eggman got ahold of her, and did anything, I'm going to tear him a new one! I'm getting that ship!" he yelled before before boosting, red light going around him as he wrecked any bots in his way. He quickly boosted from pipe to pipe, hopping onto a train. He then heard Vector.
"Hey, need a hand?"
"Negative... We got this.
"You sure?"
"I'm sure." Shadow quietly responded. He got to the docks and saw a mysterious figure. He looked like a dark Jackal, with long white dreadlocks and a white bandana. He turned and Shadow noticed that he wore a large mask that hid his face, save for one yellow eye. Shadow stopped "Who are you!?" he yelled. The Jackal stood silently. He then spoke in a low voice that sounded like it was put through a synthesiser. "You may call me... Infinite."
"Yeah? Get out of my way or I make the way with you!"
"I've already taken down Sonic with little trouble. You won't be so difficult." Infinite said calmy before Shadow saw a red sword digitize into his hand. Shadow growled as he leaned forward, ready to strike.
"Well I'm not Sonic, so come and try..."
"You will regret that." Infinite said as he crossed his arms, his sword's tip touching the concrete. He then glowed red and hovered "...Come... Face your fear!" Infinite yelled, and the fight began...
(Doppelganger battle - DMC 3 OST recommend waiting/skipping the little intro if you want the actual battle theme.)

"So he took down Sonic? Hmph..." Shadow said to himself in his head. Infinite groaned in boredom "What are you, scared?" He said, causing a smirk from the ebony Hedgehog. Shadow quickly rushed at Infinite, with him digitizing and teleporting behind him. Shadow did a back flip so quick Infinite couldn't react and he was knocked back. Shadow summoned a Chaos Lance and went for a jab, getting deflected by Infinite's sword. Their weapons clashed multiple times, Dark red sparks launching from Infinite's sword each time. Their blades grinded against one another "Teleporting? Hmm... Curious." Shadow said in his head. Infinite managed to overpower him, Shadow being pushed back and his Chaos Lance disintegrating. He summoned another one before Chaos Controlling to stop time temporarily. But it seemed Infinite was unaffected! Infinite scoffed as he simply walked forward
"This is the ultimate life form? Pathetic."
Shadow growled "I'll show you pathetic!" he yelled before glowing red and doing a Chaos blast. The shockwave hit Infinite and simply slid him back a little, his crossed arms not even moving. He warped upwards above Shadow and attempted to stab him. Shadow slid out of the way before roundhouse kicking the back of his head. Infinite was unfazed as Shadow's foot went through him! He turned and was barely able to dodge the fist coming for him. He grabbed Infinite's arm and slung him into a cargo train, with Infinite landing on top and simply shaking his head before disappearing into the tunnel. Shadow then saw a enemy ship fly by and hopped in, it being unawof the stowaway that had just managed to get inside. He ran to the cockpit and wrecked the pilot bot before he flew around to the cranes where Rouge and Omega were. They ran as they saw Shadow get the ship aligned at the end of the crane they were on. They both jumped, making it safely inside. Shadow quickly gunned the engines and set course for HQ to get some reinforcements.
