f/n, simply expected that this day would come. Rumors have it, that Shohoku's newest ace is really in a relationship with you. And as for you, you never really deny it. When people asked you, you'd simply admit it. It was not a showoff, and you're not someone who'll brag what the two of you have. Just like him, you also want to remain low-key about it.

"How come you didn't tell us about it?" your mother stood in front of you, massaging the bridge of her nose. It looks like that the news of her daughter dating someone from the team has arrived, and this time she acknowledges it, upon hearing it from herself. You will never deny your relationship with Rukawa.

"She knows that you'll be against it. That's why." Your father beside her spoke, he had his nose scrunched. A part of him was disappointed that you didn't tell him, but the rest he totally understands why you kept it.

"Of all people, f/n. You chose someone who doesn't have a bright future ahead of him?"

"I'm not keeping it, mom. Dad. It's just that, you don't even ask about how am I, or if I'm feeling okay, that's why I decided not to tell. You guys can't even ask me if I have friends at school." You sighed. "And mom, I won't just ignore the fact that you just told me that my boyfriend doesn't have a bright future ahead of him."

"Tell me about it. How would someone like him provide something for you in the future? He can't play basketball forever! And if that's the only thing that he's good at, then you can't be with someone like that. F/N, I didn't raise you like this, I always taught you to be practical–"

"Mom. I'm sorry, but really to be practical? Why do you guys marry just because it's practical and it's convenient?"

"If I'm going to marry someone, I will make sure that I'll marry them because of love. And not just because of how convenient they would be as a lifetime partner. I would never depend on someone just like that." You stood in front of them this time.

"That was so disrespectful. We're just concern about your future! We will never know what will happen, and we don't want our child leaning on us when the time comes that her husband will abandon her!"

"Mom. I don't want to argue anymore. I'm sorry, I can't break up with him if that's what you want. I know I've become more disrespectful, I'm sorry for that."

"But I am really grateful that right now, I can open up and show you guys my real feelings. That I'm not that kid who's always excluded from the school events anymore. I'm not lonely, and all by myself anymore."

"That I'm someone who can love and be loved by my significant other too."

Your father sighed as he held your mother's elbows. "Let's stop right here. F/N, you should go to your room now."

f/n just nodded as she went upstairs to prepare for bed. Since she's still on her winter break, and her cram school just ended a week ago, she'll have a lot of free time. Speaking of free time, Shohoku planned out a Christmas Party for this year. And the third-years will also come to celebrate their upcoming college applications.
