IMITHANDAZO
Musa return with a changed and sour mood. I wonder what happened back there. As much as he's not saying anything but I know him
"Are you okay?" I ask because the silence is too awkward for my liking
" I'm good, Mmangaliso is still sleeping?" He asks trying his level best to convince me" Yes he's sleeping. Are you sure you fine?" He sighs rubbing his face then kisses my lips.
" I'm good, just want to read this file I fetched"
" Musa, you know you can talk to me abou... "
" Don't do that, when I say I'm fine, I'm fine. Please call me if you need any assistance" he kisses my forehead and disappear to his study. I sigh and sit on the chair.Lord I hope he's not cheating on me again, phela he used to be like this on the days of him and Ayanda and I ignored it. Then boom a baby came to my face. God you know how much I wouldn't handle another betrayal from Musa I swear.
We really have come too far for him to relapse or betray my trust like that again. But maybe I am just overacting, could be work. Let me cook before this child wakes up. He has been doing most of the house chores lately, since he's a bit off, let me relieve him
*MUSA*
"Fuck" I bang the table after the phone call with Athule. She still has that nasty attitude, not even pregnant hormones can solve her.
I still can't believe I let that idiot speak to me like that, me, a whole Musa Ndlovu? Who the hell does he think he is? Telling me that I should leave his fiancee alone? Entlek what is Athule seeing in that dude because he ain't that even good-looking, just your average guy.
Maybe he has money or the dick is good, between the two. But Athule doesn't strike me as the gold digger type, she's hard working to fall into that category, it's definitely the dick.
I bet he impregnated her on purpose just to tame her down. Mxm, girls like Athule can't be tamed no matter what. I mean he's heatless, from the last convo Athule and I had, she had so many things and plans to achieve and a baby was not part of those.
But then on the bright side, I'm happy for her, i hope she will embrace it and it will not change her for who she is.
I am disturbed by voices and laughter coming from the house. I close my laptop and get off from my chair back to the kitchen only to find Malibongwe eating the carrots and chatting up a storm with Imi.
"Brother" I shake his hand with a shoulder bump before hugging my wife
" I decided to come and ask the visa straight from the madam because lately you have been declining none stop" he says smiling looking at us
" You know how Junior gets, I don't want my wife to go through that all alone.. "I really don't, a post natal depression is very dangerous and it's caused by lack of support system to new mothers who endure so much.
" Honey, you have been really sweet and supportive but I honestly think you do need a breather. " She smiles at me and my heart warms up..
" Are you sure? " I ask and she nods kissing me, Malibongwe clears his throat and we laugh
"Go have fun, just a little bit, you won't die"
" I'll be home early, I promise. " I assure her and Malibongwe cheer excitedly"Two beers madam I'll send him home" he emphasise on that and Imi laughs, she knows better than to trust this one.
I grab my jacket, wallet and car keys before leaving the house
" A colleague of mine told me about this explicit club in town and recommend we check it out." I stop on my track and look at him
"What? Don't worry I'm here to stop you from temptations" he says chuckling and I just shake my head and get inside the car. He is the one driving. When Umsebenzi wethu track blurst out the mood kicks in immediately.
The route he's taking is very much familiar
" Isn't this the same club we went to last time?" I ask because I remember this way very well
" It is, until you decided to disappear with Athule to play nanny. You are not doing that today. We are having fun tonight, madam approved" he says and I laugh
" My friend, you are very much persistent, I didn't get a chance to look at the club because I saw Athule drunk and went to her". I add on his statement
" If you bump into her today just ignore her abeg, "I laugh at his attempt to sound like a Nigerian. Its parked. He find a nice parking and we walk inside. He scream at my ear to find a place while he gets our drinks.
I walk around looking for a place to sit, my eyes wandering around, looking at these naked women who looks very much comfortable on their lingerie some pure naked. This feels wrong I don't know why. Back in the days I would enjoy this but now, nah.
I take a step back to find Malibongwe so that I can tell him to either go on another club or go back home when my eyes show me something or rather someone I didn't think I would see here.
The so called fiance of Athule. He's very much cosy with two ladies seated on his lap while he's smoking a hubbly bubbly. I make my way to him and he sees me first
" So much for being a fiancee and committed to your new family" I say to him and he chuckles
" Uxakwe intoni wena? Huh? How is that any of your business?" He responds coldy and I laugh. So he's Xhosa? No wonder adelela so
" Does Athule knows you are here?" I ask and he moves closer to me
" How is that any of your business?" Again, he's very much boldy.." You made it my business when you came to me unprovoked to tell me about your relationship. Listen, you can keep your whore to yourself all you want I don't give a damn okay? Just don't ever pull what you did to anyone else again, especially me"
" Are you heartbroken that I got her? Made her mine and now we are expecting our baby? " He says with so much smirk and I smile
" How sure are you that baby is yours? "
I quickly see a frown and I laugh
" Don't get too comfortable with a community bicycle like her that finds comforts in another man's dick everytime she's angry... "I don't finish my sentence, he pours the liquor on my face throwing the cup at me. I gasp in shock! The fuck!
" How dare you talk about my woman like that? Aren't you satisfied with your own wife? You say she's a bicycle yet you are a community dick... "
" Takes one to see one. And to answer you, my wife is the best thing that has ever happened to me, my happy and comfort place. I sleep peacefully at night knowing I'm her husband, she is thinking about me. Can't say the same about you though, konje how did you two meet? I bet around here hence you are breathing through the wound every time she smiles to another man"
I feel my face hot and people scream. Did he just punch me? Heee guys, no he didn't? I wipe the liquor and return the punch with a slap between his eyes and he lands on the floor. I kick him hard on his ribs repeatedly and moves back. I don't want to hit him while he's on the ground
" Get up, I can tell awushaywangwa wena. You clearly grew up in the city. Mina ngalusa I will show you"
He gets up and throw a mean punch on my jaw I feel my teeth getting loose immediately, he throws another one quickly and I see stars. Damn, I underestimated him.
I grab him by his shirt and push him to the tables where bottles scatter around the floor with people jumping..
I taste the blood on my lips and click my tongue charging to him and Malibongwe gets on my way grabbing me outside.
" Are you fucken crazy?" What's that?
" Ai voetsek, get out of my way let me show this fool..." I try pushing him away by Malibongwe is stronger than me
" No Musa, what the fuck man! Now y'all are going to fight over a kid like some school kids.. we are leaving and that's finish"
To be continued.
