P4 Composition 1-Safety First

          One afternoon,when Tom was slouching on the sofa watching his favourite show,his father came over to tell him that he had a surprise for him.Tom followed his father to the balcony and to his delight he saw a bicycle coated with shiny blue paint.He grinned from ear to ear and punched the air with delight.He thanked his father for giving him the present he had always wanted and sped off in his bicycle."Be careful,Jim!"Shouted his dad but Jim was already too far to hear his father's words of caution.

          When Jim reached the East Coast Park,it was bustling with life.He spotted some friends from school and decided to show off the new stunt he had learnt from his riding lessons.Jim took his hands off the handle bars and paddled towards his friends.When they saw Jim doing that stunt,they praised him.

          Jim was too busy boasting about his new bicycle and failed to notice the bend in front of him.His friends tried to warn him but it was too late.He lost his balance and collided into the pave- ment.He went flying out of his bicycle and landed on the pavement with a loud "thud".Jim lay motionless on the pavement and groaned in pain.Blood was oozing out of his wounds.

          Jim's friends rushed to his aid.They called his parents and related the accident to them.Jim's parents rushed to the scene as fast as they could.They brought him to a nearby clinic.The doctor advised Jim to avoid any high level intensity activities and prescribed him some medicinal cream.Jim received a strict warning from his parents.He promised he would never show off again and reassured them that he would remember"Safety First".
