P5 The Last Laugh

Gorfrey is the class bully as well as the "ruler"at home-in his opinion.He is barely smart;almost all of his "operations" failed.He tends to bully his sister but an accident that happened a year ago taught him a painful lesson.
Dark clouds covered the sky and thunder rumbled like the cries of a lion.Soon,rain pelted down.The weather was exactly like the fateful day one year ago.Gorfrey,known as the class bully previously as well as "ruler" at home sat in the kitchen eating his cereal gloomily.The memories of that day flooded back to his mind...
The surrounding air was very still.No sound could be heard apart from the morning traffic.It was a glorious morning.That day,Gorfrey had a surprise present for his sister,Polly.He was ready to execute his plan.He crept into the kitchen and spied on his mother preparing cereal for him and his sister.Awhile later his mother entered the bathroom.This was his chance to set the trap.He took out the vinegar and flour swiftly and quietly from the cupboard.He added them into his sister's cereal.Little did he know that his sister saw the whole thing and had a plan of her own.He crept back to his room feeling satisfied;not knowing that his sister was aware of what he had done.
Polly strode into the kitchen and quickly switched the bowls.A smile appeared on her face,"It's revenge time!"she whispered to herself.It seemed to Gorfrey and Polly that the fifteen minutes before breakfast was like eternity.They could not wait to see each other's expressions when they ate their cereals but only one person could have the last laugh.Finally,it was breakfast time!They took their seats in the kitchen and started eating.Gorfrey felt that something was amiss with his cereal but decided to dismissed it as a fragment of his imagination.
The next day,while Gorfrey was doing his homework his stomach churned for quite awhile.It felt like his stomach was being squeezed and his intestines were all entangled!His face contorted in pain and he clenched his fists to control it.However,it was too intense.He cried in agony.His mother heard him and rushed to his room,"Gorfrey!What is wrong with you?"his mother exclaimed,rushing forward to help him."My stomach hurts!"He complained.His mother rushed him to a nearby clinic for a check-up."It is food poisoning.Did you eat some expired food?"the doctor questioned Gorfrey.He launched into his story and what might have happened.He mother reprimanded him for his "surprise present"for his sister hoping that he would learn from his mistakes.After that incident Gorfrey dared not play such a prank on anyone ever again.He was no longer known as the class bully.
