An incident at a food fair

As I stepped into the shopping centre,the aroma of fried chicken,takoyaki balls and other delicious delicacies seeped into my nostrils.The food fair was bustling with a fusion of noises.My eyes lit up when I saw a stall selling my favourite milk-flavored ice cream.Immediately,I dashed over ecstatically.Despite coming earlier,the queue was already as long as a dragon and the passageways at the mall were packed.
After waiting for 10 minutes,it was finally my turn to order,"One milk-flavored ice cream please!"I requested.The vendor nodded slightly and went to prepare my order.Just as I was about to pay,a pair of rough hands covered with sores seized my newly bought Prada wallet which had cost me a fortune.Turning around sharply,I found a young man wearing a superhero hoodie and khaki pants sprinting away."Hey!Give me back my wallet!"I shrieked while giving chase.
Other shoppers heard the commotion and decided to help me.A young man gave chase but we were no match for the robber and soon lost track of him.I knew it would be futile to chase any longer so I stopped in my tracks,panting tiredly.By the time the police arrived,the young man was long gone.The police questioned me about his appearance,but unfortunately I could not provide much information as I did not get a good look at him.
After the interrogation,hot tears rolled down my cheeks.My lips tasted salty.My heart felt like it had broken apart;my precious wallet had cost me nearly $700.I wobbled to a nearby bench and slumped down.I was traumatized by the nightmarish incident.I could not get over it.The ice cream vendor consoled me by offering me a free cone of milk-flavored ice cream.I accepted it with gratitude.
A day later,I got a call from the police station to inform me that they had recovered my wallet.I gasped in delight,I rushed down to the police station and retrieved my wallet.I thanked the police officers profusely.Clutching my precious wallet,I skipped home in utter delight.
