Grayson POV -

I look over at y/n, who is laying on a deckchair next to me. She's wearing a bikini, but wrapped herself into towels from head to toe. She's self conscious about all the bruises on her body. "Aren't you hot?" I ask her and we lock eyes. That spark in her eyes is back. "Oh, very.." she chuckles. "But you should see me in my black bikini. I'm even hotter when I'm wearing that!" She laughs. Her stupid response makes me laugh out loud. "You're an idiot!" I chuckle, but I'm glad she's back.

Ethan walks in our direction. Followed by Ava. He looks comfortable and happy! This is my favourite Ethan, the happy one. He's wearing his swim shorts and has a towel thrown over his shoulder. I'm glad he spend some time with y/n last night. They both needed it. "I think I've made progress." He said this morning when we met up for breakfast. "We can be in the same room, without her being too anxious. I think we're calming eachother down again." He said with pride.

A smile appears on his face as soon as he locks eyes with y/n. A smile that says a lot, but his eyes are actually the ones speaking. He radiates love and y/n absorbs it all. They're connected again.

Ava pops her happy head around Ethan and reaches out her hand towards y/n. "Hi, I'm Ava." She says bubbly, her dimples deep. And the energy changes. "Hi.." y/n responds timidly, slowly but hesitantly reaching out her hand. "I'm happy you're okay!" Ava says, referring to everything that happened to y/n. "And I heard a lot of great things about you! I can't wait to get to know you better." Ava kindly adds. I'm unaware of the fact that a smile is growing on my face. Ava seems so carefree and it intrigues me immensely. I look over at y/n, but she doesn't seem intrigued at all. She stares at Ava in confusion.. and maybe even a bit annoyed.

Ethan catches on to what is happening and slowly lifts his hand to smoothly brush it through his hair. His movement makes y/n's gaze divert from Ava to Ethan. And as soon as they lock eyes again, their energy goes back to sending and receiving love.

I'm still amazed about how they communicate without words and it seems they're even better at it now, than they were before. I really wanna try it as well. Communicate without talking and I stare at Ava, trying to catch her attention. When we lock eyes, I furrow my brows and squint my eyes. Trying to send her all my thoughts. Her facial expression changes and I feel like she's getting what I'm trying to do. But then she all of a sudden frowns at me and rolls her eyes.

Okay, she clearly didn't get what I was trying to accomplish here. "Let's play Marco Polo!" I say to break the tension and point my finger at the pool. "Oh! My! God!" Ava laughs. "Remember when Ethan hit his head real hard, when we played Marco Polo the last time?" She squeals and grabs Ethan's shoulders. I remember that like it was yesterday and the memory from years ago makes me laugh out loud. Ethan isn't laughing, y/n isn't either. Her eyes shoot fire and my roaring laugh quickly dies down into a fake, awkward laugh. Ethan isn't laughing, not because he doesn't think the memory of him getting a concussion isn't funny.. but because he is completely focused on y/n.

I've never seen y/n like this. She was protective over me when Emma confessed her love for me. But now she's ready to kill. Ethan grabs Ava's hand and gently moves it away from his shoulder. He steps away from Ava and sits down on a deckchair next to y/n. "Hey.." Ethan softly says to grab y/n's attention and she let's go of her stare directed at Ava. "Let's go grab a drink!" I say as I get up and push Ava towards the bar. "Grayson! Stop pushing me!" She says annoyed but she at least starts walking in the right direction. "I don't think y/n likes me." She says visibly upset and she starts pouting. Her pouting face makes me chuckle. She looks cute. That confident woman with a shit load of spirit now looks defeated and a bit hurt that she can't make a new friend.

"No shit!" I chuckle and Ava turns around to give me a death stare. "What?!" I continue. "You're all touchy feely with the man she loves!" I add and honestly I don't like that either. Because I don't want y/n to be hurt ofcourse. Not because it's Ava. It has absolutely nothing to do with Ava! I stare at Ava's now shocked face. She clearly wasn't aware of the amount of touchy feely moments she has daily and I kinda hope she doesn't stop touching me. "And y/n doesn't know who you are.." I quickly say to pull her mind away from her touching people. "Give her time to get to know you. I'm sure she'll warm up to you.." I add and her expression softens. "You're so lovable.." I blurt out and me saying these words both scare her and me.
