Chapter 5

L.A. 12 p.m.
Grayson POV -

"Okay. Thank you, Ava!" I hear Ethan say before he ends the phonecall. I see determination in his eyes. I missed this energy! He seems full of life and purpose again as he throws piles of clothes in his suitcase. "So.." I say. "Is Netflix back on board?" I ask him. Ethan turns his head towards me and a faint smile appears on his face. "I guess the first season of this reality show will be about us, trying to find y/n." He says. "With their resources and connections in London they can hopefully also help us get to her." He adds. I nod. "Let's hope we'll find her soon." I say. "Have you talked to Emma?" Ethan now asks me. I raise my brows to let him know it was a very difficult and awkward conversation. "Ouchhh.." he says, changing his facial expression to one of pain. "Are we selfish, Gray?" Ethan asks me. I sigh and shrug my shoulders. "She was planning on sending the sex video of you and her to Mike, Ethan!" I remind him. "And now she is worried about it being published?" I continue. "Don't worry about Emma. She had it a long time coming." I try to reassure Ethan. "Now that we're on our way to London. Trying to find y/n. Even making a Netflix show about it.. we both know those tapes definitely will be released." Ethan sighs. I bite the inside of my lip. "They probably will be released." I repeat after him. "Let's hope we can do some damage control with the Netflix show." I tell Ethan as he sits down on his suitcase to close it. "Shall we film an explanation video now?" Ethan asks me as he gets up from the suitcase. "Ava said they will use it in the beginning of the show." He explains. "Let's do it." I say as I walk over to our filming studio. I turn on the purple neon lights and get the soft boxes and camera equipment ready. "What are we gonna say?" I hear Ethan yell from his room. "We're just gonna tell them the truth.." I sigh. "Everything?" Ethan breathes as he walks in. He knows how damaging it will be for my image. Cheating on my now ex girlfriend. Cheating on her with my twin brothers ex girlfriend, out of all people. Those are two things I fucked up. Fucked up badly. "Everything." I repeat after him.

We sit down and press record on the camera. I take a deep breath before we start with our signature intro: "What's up guys! We're back!". Ethan looks at me and I see he's folding the note that he has been carrying with him for the past few days. Playing with that piece of paper seems to calm him down, like y/n was able to do in person. "And this week we're just gonna sit down and talk to you guys.." Ethan says and we start explaining that a lot has been happening lately. "We're gonna film a Netflix show about our lives." I says. "So for the next couple of weeks our lives will be documented from the moment we wake up, until the moment we go back to sleep." I continue. "It will be really up close and personal." Ethan adds. "Really up close and personal." I sigh.

"As you all have probably seen on my Instagram, I met this girl y/n." I say as I start explaining us meeting, falling in love, and me cheating on her. I make sure not to mention Emma's name. Ethan on his turn explains falling in love with y/n and getting into a relationship with her after her and I broke up. "Her ex, unfortunately, won't let go of her and is blackmailing us all. In an attempt to get back together with y/n. He is blackmailing us with two very damning video's of Ethan and me. He threatens to release these video's if y/n won't come back to him." I say with pain in my voice. I look over at Ethan and I see the tears well up in his eyes. I pause for a second, waiting for Ethan to continue. But I see he's not able to say a word and I clear my throat. "Y/n, because she loves Ethan more than life, conformed to her ex's request and left, breaking off all communication." I add. I see Ethan's hands in my peripherals, frantically folding and unfolding the note and I place my hand on top of his, in an attempt to calm him down. "During this Netflix show.. you will see us trying to find y/n and reunite her with Ethan." I say. Ethan stares back into the camera. "Trying to reunite her with the one she belongs with." I end.
