Ethan POV –

“Babe..” Y/n whispers in my direction as she gently rocks me back and forth. I pull the duvet even further over my shoulders and continue sleeping. I hear y/n sigh and she shakes my shoulders with more force now. “Ethan!” She says, not whispering anymore. I feel like I just entered a deep sleep and can’t open my eyes. I just physically can’t. “Mmhmm?” I manage to respond. “I might or might not just have peed the bed.” Y/n says, whispering again. My dry and burning eyes shoot open and I sit up to look at y/n. Who is sitting up as well, but in a puddle of water. “Okay.” I say confused about what is happening. This is probably a dream. I get up from the bed and walk around to help y/n up as well.

A flood of water gushes out of her as soon as she gets up, splattering all over my bare feet. “Okay.” I say again as I look at my wet toes. “Woops..” Y/n brings out as she covers her mouth with her hand. She bursts out in laughter when she sees the shock on my face. “So you’re peeing over my feet now, I see.” I say dryly as I wiggle my toes in the warm water. “I don’t think that’s pee, Ethan.” Y/n says and it suddenly hits me. “Wh-.. What?!” I stutter. “Pee doesn’t usually gush out of me like the Niagara Falls.” She laughs as her hands rest on my arms to keep her balance. “Are you-.. Is this-.. Are we-..?” I continue to mumble and y/n nods her head. Still with a wide smile on her face. Why is she so relaxed? I’m immediately freaking out and without breaking eye contact I yell for my brother. He knows what to do.

“GRAYSON!!! GRAY!!! GRAYSON!!!” I shout while holding my wife by her elbows. We’re both not moving a muscle. I can tell y/n doesn’t want to move. I don’t want her to move either. What if the baby falls out. “What?!” We hear an annoyed Grayson from the safety of his bedroom. “HELP!!” I squeal back at him in this high pitched voice. I never heard this sound come out of my mouth and it makes y/n laugh again. With every laugh she leaks out more fluid. Right over our feet. “Okay.” Seems to be my go to word, when I have no idea what is going on around me. When I try to comprehend what is happening. “Holy shit!!” is Grayson’s. He walks in the room and sees us standing there, next to the bed in a puddle of water. His eyes widen when his hands disappear in his full head of hair.

“Holy shit!” He repeats for a good minute. Y/n is glowing and she grins at Grayson’s reaction. “Okay, guys. I think we need to go to the hospital.” She calmly says to interrupt Gray’s and my “Holy shit! – Okay!” conversation. Grayson isn’t able to pull his eyes away from us and keeps looking at the water on the floor as he calls for back up. “Ava!!!” His loud voice roars and within 10 seconds Ava sprints in the room. Just like y/n is she’s only wearing a tshirt. Y/n’s shirt is mine. Ava’s has to be Grayson’s. It’s way too long to be a girls shirt and hits her mid thigh. Without missing a beat she walks up to Y/n. Stepping in the warm puddle of water. “Oh, shit!” She says as she casually wipes her feet on my rug. I tilt my head and squint my eyes at her. “Nooo..” I quietly breathe in her direction which makes the girls laugh.

“Okay.” Ava says. But unlike me, who keeps saying ‘okay’ to not lose my mind. Ava says it with determination. “Where’s your hospital bag, babe?” She asks y/n and in return y/n points her finger at the bottom left corner of our closet. “Gray! Grab the hospital bags and bring them to the car. Get the car ready to go!” She directs Grayson who immediately does what is asked. “E, call the hospital and tell them we’re on our way over.” She now orders me as she supports y/n. “Let’s put you under the shower for a quick rinse and then we’re ready to go.” Ava smiles at y/n and they gently waggle towards the bathroom.

L.A. 4 a.m.
Grayson POV –

“This is soooo exciting!!” Ava keeps squealing as she walks in circles around me, occasionally clapping her hands together. I’m still slightly in shock from what I saw a couple of hours ago. Somehow there’s a baby coming out of y/n right now. Ethan’s baby. My brother is having a baby. Mind blown. “Aren’t you excited?!” Ava yells in my ear as she shakes my shoulders. It immediately pulls me back to earth and I smile at her smiling face. “So excited!” I breathe, but I still can’t fully grasp what is happening.

Time goes by slowly. Hospital waiting rooms aren’t really entertaining so Ava and I have been watching Netflix series on our phones. We’ve called mom, Cam and y/n’s family. They’re all frantically trying to catch flights so they can be here for the first few days of baby Dolan. Even though the sun is almost rising, both Ava and I can’t sleep. We’re not tired, at all. We harvasted a nice and elaborate breakfast from the vending machine down the hall. Just as we’re trying all different candy bars, Ethan walks in. His eyes red and his cheeks wet. He has been crying. I spit out my Snickers bar and walk up to him as he literally falls into my arms. “It’s a girl!” He cries and as if it just then hits me, tears fill my eyes.

5 a.m. in the middle of a waiting room in the hospital I’m holding my brother and we’re both crying like babies. After a couple of minutes I let go of him and Ava hugs Ethan. “Congrats, E!” I hear her whisper in his ear as I wipe my face. “Wanna see her?” Ethan asks proudly. I heard about the pregnancy glow. Women apparently start glowing when they’re pregnant. But there must also be something like a new dad glow, because holy shit! I’ve never seen my brother like this. “Ofcourse we wanna see her! See them!” Ava squeals as she claps her hands together and hops up and down.

We quietly make our way through the hospital hallways and hear babies crying every now and then.

Ava squeezes my hand hard. Harder and harder with every step we take towards Y/n’s room. Her smile gets wider and wider as well. If we don’t reach y/n’s room soon, this woman next to me might just explode from happiness. Luckily Ethan stops at a closed door. He looks up at me and smiles. Not just with his mouth but with his eyes and his entire posture. He slowly opens the door for Ava and me. We quietly walk past him and see the lights in the room are turned off. The curtains are wide open and the sunlight from the rising sun fills this room on the 9th floor with a warm golden glow. The light hits y/n and the energy she radiates feels so powerful. Combine that with Ethan’s loving energy and this baby is immediately bathing in magic. Y/n is holding a bundle of blankets in her arms and lovingly stares at her new born baby girl.

As we get closer to the bed y/n looks up and smiles the brightest and widest smile I’ve ever seen. It makes Ava cry immediately and she power walks to her friend. I walk up to the other side of the bed, kiss y/n on her cheek before I look at what is the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen. She has her eyes closed and is gently smacking her tiny lips while holding her own miniature hands. An adorable squeal leaves her mouth and we all respond with a collective “Awwwww..”. I feel Ethan’s hand on my shoulder as he leans in to look at his creation. “That’s our nose, E!” I whisper as I point at her tiny button nose. “It is, Gray!” He smiles and his voice sounds soft and gentle, like I’ve never heard before. He clears his throat and says. “Meet your niece, Remi Gray Dolan.”
