London 8 a.m.
Grayson POV -

We're having breakfast in the main restaurant of the hotel and we've barely said a word. The silence isn't awkward, but it's telling. Everyone is still thinking about that phonecall between E and y/n. The phonecall of which we heard every single word. I look up at E and see the bags under his eyes. I bet you, he hasn't slept for a second. Ava sits down next to him and hands him a cup of coffee. They lock eyes and a faint smile appears on his face. The up and down movement of Ava's chest and her facial expression gives away that she sighed. She slowly brings her hand to Ethan's face and gently brushes his cheek. I see her lips moving, but the loud noises of plates and silverware around us make it impossible to hear what they're talking about. I squint my eyes and focus on their lips, but there is no telling if she's singing the national anthem or confessing her love to Ethan. Kian elbows me in the side and that's when I realise I'm clenching my jaw. "Are you good?" He asks me, observing my facial expressions. I nod, as I take a bite of my fruit salad. "I'm just worried about Ethan." I say with my mouth still full of watermelon. Kian looks over at Ethan, who is sitting across the table from us.. and back at me. "You and I both know y/n was not telling the truth, right?!" Kian asks me, still observing me. "You know Ethan wasn't a rebound, right?!" He says, trying to make sure I get that y/n was lying, so Ethan won't go after her. Trying to make sure I won't meddle in their relationship again. I nod "I know.." I mumble. I know Ethan wasn't a rebound. They have loved eachother since the moment they got to know eachother. If I didn't fuck up y/n's and my relationship, I'm sure she would've dumped me.. to be with Ethan. "Do you think he knows?" Kian now says, tilting his head towards Ethan. I look back over at E and see him pointing at fruit on his plate. He looks over at Ava, who now starts poking her fork in the fruit that's on Ethan's plate and eats it. What the heck are they doing? It's a goddamn breakfast buffet. Get your own plate!

I frown and try to remember Kian's question, while I keep staring at the two of them sharing a plate of fruit. "I think Ethan, deep down, knows y/n loves him. He knows y/n is the one for him." I say. "But he's so vulnerable now. I feel like he's very receptive to any kind of love and attention." I add. "I'm afraid he's gonna do something he'll regret later." I continue as I see Ava now letting Ethan taste something of her plate. "So.. you're saying Ethan is gonna make the same mistake you made?" Kian says with a mouthful of pancakes. My gaze moves from Ethan and Ava to Kian, as I slowly turn my head towards him. He playfully winks at me as he sees the death stare I'm giving him. "My mistake led to y/n and Ethan finding eachother." I say confidently as I turn my body towards Kian. He rolls his eyes at me. "Yeah, yeah.. true hero!" He says before he takes another bite of his pancakes and I all of a sudden remember Ethan, leaving y/n at Kian's place, when they caught me cheating. Kian took care of y/n when I broke her. "I'm sorry.." I say. "That's not something to joke about." I add. "Let's just make sure Ethan doesn't do anything stupid, okay?!" I tell Kian as I hold up my hand for a typical bro handshake. "Yeah, let's.." Kian says as he grabs my hand. Just when I want to continue breakfast in silence, Jeff stands up, raising one hand to get everyone's attention. With his other hand he is holding his phone and staring at the screen. "Shawn and y/n are in Paris." He says and it immediately gets rowdy. Everyone starts talking through one another and it's chaos. "I thought she was only working for Shawn in London?" I hear someone say. "Are we going to Paris?" I hear another voice say and I look over at Ethan. He looks defeated and gazes around the table, but clearly avoids eye contact with me. "Ethan!" I yell at him to catch his attention and everyone looks up and over at E and me. Ethan feels everyone watching and is now forced to look me in the eyes. He put his guard up. I can tell by the way he looks at me. It upsets me, but I try to act that we're cool and clear my throat. "What do you want to do?" I ask him. "Do you want to wait in London, until y/n get's back? Do you want to go to Paris or do you want to go home?" I continue. I see a shift in his energy when I say the word 'home'. For a second he unconsciously let's his guard down and he is vulnerable again. He doesn't want to go home. Not without y/n. I can tell the thought of going home without her makes him anxious, since he's fidgeting with that piece of paper again. I nod at him, letting him know that I can read his body language and that I understand him. "Let's go find her. Let's go to Paris." I say and Ethan nods in agreement.
