It was a new day with a new start with the two enjoying the newly mended friendship in a unique way at 5:00 AM in the morning with one finding it difficult to keep her heavy and sleepy eyes open and the other absorbed in his efforts to put out all the knowledge he possessed on physics unaware that the opposite person was least bothered.

"So Newton's third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And.." his words trailed off when he discovered that his tutee had managed to doze off in between his lectures.

"Mallikaaaaaa!" he yelled to which she got up with a jerk and widening her eyes, her right hand moved upward upto her forehead in the position of a salute and she said out of the blue,

"Yes Captain! Everything is under control" she replied, completely not in her senses.

"Miss Mallika, your Captain orders you to pay attention to your studies or else your future is dark" he commanded in order to go with the flow.

"Aye aye Captain!" came the reply but within seconds of regaining her senses, Mallika took in the whole scene and apologetically looked at her prince charming.

"If you're done with your beauty sleep then can we proceed?" Sumedh asked in a satirical way to which Mallika slightly nodded her head still feeling embarrassed.

After an hour of sincere studying which also involved frequent scoldings from Sumedh for Mallika not paying attention, thereby Newton getting cursed by Mallika as the prime reason for her such indigent state.

"So how's your debate practice going on?" Sumedh finally asked a question which wasn't related to physics. The uncertainty of the question was known and the smile which faded away from Mallika's lips did not go unnoticed by her Mr. Noodles. The sudden change in her expression let Sumedh to sense the thickly enwreathed layer of helplessness and restlessness which was clearly visible.

Mallika sat there frozen, unable to give a proper answer to his recently asked question which reminded her of the dreadful deal with Arnab. What should she say? How will Sumedh react after hearing about the deal?

While these questions raced inside her mind, a warm hand of assurance was placed on her shoulder which was none other than Sumedh's. She looked in his eyes searching for any uneasiness and mistrust which may have come up with the oddness in her behaviour while the other asked maintaining the eye contact,

"Mallika, Is there something you want to talk about? Please feel free to share then" he insisted with an appealing voice but Mallika remained stubborn thinking about the consequences which may occur after the bitter truth is revealed. She feared that she might lose his trust and may not be able to regain it.
