"Omkaraji, leave me... " Gauri began to hit Omkara frantically with one hand as she covered her mouth with other."Gauri, stop hitting me." Omkara mumbled in sleep as he tightened his hold around Gauri, as he carelessly threw his leg over her legs, looking her in his arms.
Gauri whacked Omkara on his arm sharply making his sit up with a jolt.
"What the hell, Gauri." Omkara asked rubbing his arm.
"Gauri, what happened?" He asked worriedly as he watched Gauri took off the blanket and ran towards the bathroom to empty her bowels.
Omkara held Gauri's hair back and rubbed her back as she continued to puke.
"Are you feeling good, now?" Omkara asked rubbing Gauri's back.
"Feeling dizzy." Gauri said leaning her head against Omkara's chest as he carried her towards their bed.
"Lay down, I will go and call, Mom." He kissed her forehead as he pulled the blanket over Gauri.
Gauri was experiencing all sorts of pregnancy effects, and her morning sickness is very severe, the minute she wakes up, she runs to empty her bowels, their baby is not letting Gauri keep up anything in her stomach.
Their family was ecstatic as soon as they informed them about Gauri's pregnancy, last week. Jhanvi started crying saying that it was the best birthday gift she received.
"Mom," Omkara called Jhanvi as soon as he spotted his mother in the corridor. "Gauri is not feeling well again." He said worriedly.
"Don't worry, Om. Morning sickness is something every woman experiences in her pregnancy." Jhanvi tried to normalize his fears.
"Still, she's feeling very weak and dizzy."
"Okay, I will go and check on Gauri, meanwhile you go and ask Pinky to prepare the concoction, it helps in subsiding the morning sickness." Jhanvi smiled patting Omkara's arm and walked towards Omkara's room.
"Choti maa... " Pinky, who was relishing her morning coffee, jumped as soon as she heard Omkara.
"What happened, Omkara, why are you scaring me like this?" Pinky asked keeping her coffee cup on the kitchen island.
"Sorry." Omkara apologized without a feel of guilt on his face. "Mom requested you to prepare concoction for Gauri, she's feeling dizzy due to morning sickness." Omkara asked in a hurry, as he took out the pan from the cupboards.
"Ok, slow down. Let me prepare it for Gauri." Pinky said grabbing the pan from Omkara.
"Thank you, chotimaa." Omkara hugged Pinky and began to run out of the kitchen, when Pinky stopped him holding the back of his shirt.
"Where are running off to?" Pinky questioned.
"To check on Gauri."
"Jhanvi, will take care of her. Meanwhile you stay back and learn how to prepare concoction, so that the next time you can prepare it for Gauri, if we are not around."
Omkara nodded his head and began to learn the recipe.
"Gauri, here's the concoction." Omkara said as he placed the glass near Gauri's lips.
Gauri made a face looking at the green liquid in the glass.
"I know, it looks disgusting but please have it, baby." Omkara requested And Gauri reluctantly emptied the contents in the glass.
"You lay down, while I go and get some breakfast for you." Omkara said adjusting the pillows. "What would you like to have for breakfast?"
"Umm... Pasta with pickle." Gauri answered making Omkara frown.
