Chapter 38

Omkara opened his eyes to view the most beautiful sight in front of him.

Gauri was standing in front of the dressing table wearing an yellow saree towel drying her wet hair.

Omkara stood up from his bed and without making any noise went and back hugged Gauri.

"Good Morning wifey. " Omkara said kissing her temple.

"Omkaraji, you woke up. " Gauri said.

"Yes, but I am disappointed that I didn't have my Chiraiya on my side when I woke up." Omkara said.

"O.. Today is my first rasoi and I have a few other post wedding rituals to carry on. So I woke up early. " Gauri said.

Omkara took the sindoor and applied it on her hairline and he noticed the bracelet Tej gifted her.

"Gauri, who gave you this bracelet. " He said examining it.

"Ohh... I forgot to tell you. Your dad spoke with me today morning and gave me this. He said I am like his daughter and asked me call him Papa." Gauri said cheerfully.

"Hmm okay. "

"Omkaraji, Papa changed he wants you to forgive him. Please give him a chance and let him into your life again." Gauri said softly.

"It's not that easy to forget everything Gauri. Nevertheless I will try." Omkara said smiling lightly.

"Omkaraji, you go and get ready. We have to go down." Gauri said.

"I will but for now let me enjoy my first morning with my wife. " Omkara said rubbing his nose with her.

Gauri giggled and pushed him but he held her hand and pulled her making her back collide with him.

"Omkaraji, I want to go down and cook. " Gauri said.

"I won't let you go." Omkara said wrapping his hands around her waist from behind.

"Omkaraji... " Gauri said seriously.

"Okay... Fine. " Omkaraji said leaving her.

Gauri went down stairs towards the kitchen and began cooking food for family members.

"Gauri beta, why are you are cooking alone." Tej said.

"Good Morning Papa, I woke up early so thought of cooking food for everyone." Gauri said.

"Well, let me help you then." Tej said.

"No Papa, I can do it. " Gauri said.

"No, I don't want to hear anything I will help you. That's it. " Tej said taking knife from Gauri to chop veggies.

Gauri and Tej began to cook for a few minutes.

"You know Gauri, when Om and Rudra was small, they loved eating the badam kheer I used to make for them." Tej said.

"Then even I want to taste the badam kheer made by my Papa." Gauri said.

"Anything for my daughter. Come let's cook badam kheer together. " Tej said.

Everyone sat on the dining table and servants placed all the dishes on the table. And they began to eat.

"Wow!! Everything is looking mouthwatering. " Rudra said.

"Yes, Gauri. Food is really yummy. " Jhanvi said.

"Thank you and there is a special dessert for everyone." Gauri said and served everyone the badam kheer.

"Mmmm... Gauri, It's so delicious. It is tasting just like the one... " Omkara said and stopped.

"Just like the one Papa used to prepare." Gauri completed his sentence.

"How did you got to know about that bhabhi." Rudra asked.

"Rudy Bhaiya, papa helped me cook this kheer." Gauri said smiling.

Omkara looked at Tej, who was smiling at Gauri.

"I have some work, I am going out." Omkara said and walked out.

Tej looked down sad seeing Omkara walk out.

"Papa, you are the best. I loved the kheer." Gauri said.

"Thank you beta. " Tej said smiling.

Everyone left for office and ladies are busy with some works.

Gauri went to Richa's room to speak with her.

"Hii Richa. " Gauri said.

"Hii Gauri. " Richa said.

"Sorry, I didn't got time to speak with you properly." Gauri said.

"Hey don't feel sad, I can understand. You are the bride and you have a hell lot of rituals to do. In fact I am afraid of all these rituals and marriage word. " Richa said making Gauri laugh.

" Thank you Richa, for being on my side on the important day of my life. " Gauri said.

"I will always be on your side Gauri, no matter what. " Richa said.

"How is everything in Bareilly." Gauri asked.

"Everything is going well, Gauri. Now that Svetlana didi is there to control Kali Thakur." Richa said.

"They are such a cute and adorable couple. " Gauri said.

"When you called me telling about the whole Kali Thakur fiasco, At first we didn't believed that Kali Thakur really changed. But he came and apologized to everyone for everything he has done, he also threatened your Uncle and Aunt that if they restricts Sahil from meeting you then he will make them beg in the streets taking away all their properties." Richa said.

"He did that!? " Gauri asked surprised.

"Yes, he said that he won't leave anyone who ever dares to make his little sister sad. At first your Aunt refused to send sahil with us to attend your marriage but then Kali Thakur and Svetlana di came and threatened your Aunt to send Sahil with us. Through out the Journey Sahil and Kali was playing and joking around." Richa said.

"I am happy Richa, that everything has fallen in place." Gauri said.

"Didn't I told you that one day your knight in shining armour will come and fights away all your worries filling your life with happiness." Richa said and Gauri nodded in yes.

"Gauri didi... " Sahil called coming towards her.

"Sahil, where have you gone. I didn't found you in your room when I came to talk with you. " Gauri said.

"Prince Charming took me outside. See he brought me a new video game." Sahil said showing off his new video game Omkara brought for him.

"This Omkaraji is spoiling you, No spending more time playing it and ignoring the studies. Okay? " Gauri said.

"Okay didi, can I now go and play, Omkara jiju and Kali Bhaiya invited me to play video game with them." Sahil said.

"Okay, you can go and play." Gauri said ruffling his hair.

"Thank you di. " Sahil said and ran outside.

"Seems like boys are having fun. " Richa said.

"I hope Omkaraji won't make any mess." Gauri said sighing.
