Chapter 9

He searched for Gauri and found her sitting in the Garden looking towards Sky. He went and sat near her.

Gauri looked at him surprised.

"Do you need something? "

"No actually... Umm... Thank you for taking care of me yesterday."

"No mention, by the way did the sun rise from west r what you came out of the room and talking with me. "

"I just thought to thank you so... "

" So you came r else you might be sitting in your room only, what treasure are you hiding in your room that you always stay there guarding it. Kabhi kabhi aise bahar bhi aao and spend time happily. "

Omkara just smiled and kept looking towards stars...

"Not everyone has that privilege of being happy. My past never allows me to be like that.

"Omkara ji... I don't know what you had gone through or what is happening in your life but I just wanted to say life is not fair to anyone just because your past didn't turned out to be the way you wanted doesn't mean your present and future can be better than you ever imagined. Life is short don't waste it by worrying about the things you can't change. Come out of your room and see what all are you missing this sky, stars, moon everything.

"Thank You Gauri for your words they did helped me ease my inner turmoil."

Gauri gave a smile which Omkara returned and both retired to their rooms.

From the next day there was a visible change in Omkara, he used to come out of his room to have food. And spending a sometime with Gauri at night looking the stars in sky became his routine. Even though he doesn't speak much with her, he felt a strange peace being with her.

During one of their star gazing sessions Omkara asked Gauri about her family.

"I am an Orphan, " Said Gauri sadly "my parents died in an accident when I was 6 and I growed up in my Uncle house. "

"I am sorry, why don't you visit your Uncle. "

"My Uncle and Aunt decided to get me married to an Old man who offered them a fortune in return of my hand in marriage, he is married and cruel man so I escaped from the marriage venue with the help of my friend. said Gauri with tears in her eyes. " You know what when mumma and papa was alive they used to pamper me a lot and I was their princess and then suddenly my life changed from Happiest to loneliest.

Omkara immediately wrapped his hand around her taking her into a side hug.

" Don't worry Gauri you are so brave that you are still strong after facing all those things. And you know a strong girl told me not to cry over the things that you can't change."

Gauri smiled at his words.

"And from now onwards don't cry thinking about your past whenever you feel lonely come to me."

Gauri looked at him surprised.

"What? From today we are friends. " Said omkara. Will you be my friend?

Gauri nodded her head smiling.

" This girl in front of me is a fighter, she suffered so much in her life yet she smiles and enjoys her life. Why can't I be like her."
