Ace jumped down from the destroyed execution platform and looked around
Marines were coming from left and right
He saw Whitebeard stand straight
Darkness surrounded the area
It took Ace a few seconds to realize the enemy his father figure was up against
His blood boiled with anger
Blackbeard and his crew had arrived sometime during his execution and had now sneaked up on Pops
As Ace prepared to fight, the ground from beneath him was suddenly missing
It took him a few second to realize, but when he did
He was flying through the air as Luffy carried him with one arm
Luffy had wings but, he didn't have the rest of his form
His eyes weren't ruby red and glowing
His daggers were nowhere to be found either
His nails had turned black but not his whole hand and arm
"Oi Luffy! what are you doing, idiot!? Let me down!" Ace yelled
"Not right now, Ace!" Luffy responded
"Luffy! My crew is still fighting back there! I need to go and help them! I can't just escape without them!" Ace squirmed
"No, I am getting you out of here, I'll go back and help them later, but right now, you need to get to your ship!" Luffy said
The Moby Dick was a few feet away
The ship was slightly damaged, nothing too serious, just a few scratches here and there
"Hell no! I'm not leaving my family behind!" Ace yelled as he freed himself from Luffy's grasp
"Ace!" Luffy shouted as he landed beside his brother
"No, Luffy, you've done enough already, thank you for saving me, but, this is my fight now, you need to rest" Ace exclaimed
Luffy was about to protest again against the older when he realized that Ace had already disappeared from where he was previously standing
Luffy grunted in annoyance when he sensed Ace running towards Whitebeard to assist him and probably take revenge on the Blackbeard bastard
'You never backed out of fights, huh?' Luffy smiled slightly as he began running
Although it was probably a horrible idea to let Ace fight
Luffy was sure that no matter how much he tried convincing his brother to come with him, Ace was just too stubborn to do so
Luffy ran behind his older brother
He would let Ace fight, but the moment a single strand of hair falls off of the older's head, Luffy would not hesitate for even a second to kill whoever had put their hands on his sibling
As Luffy arrived at his brother's side, multiple explosions were heard
A strong breeze of air blew by
Luffy squinted his eyes to see a lot of figures moving around in a distance
His eyes widened slightly as he grinned
Ace stared confused at what was happening
Whitebeard simply smiled and quickly turned his attention back to Teach
Ace was more than surprised, to say the least
Out of all people he hadn't expected a certain red-haired emperor to suddenly jump out of nowhere
Luffy and Shanks made eye contact for a few seconds
They didn't exchange any words to each other
Shanks simply smiled and so did Luffy
It was just two old friends reuniting
Shanks and the red hair pirates fought off the marines as Whitebeard, Ace, and Luffy dealt with the Blackbeard pirates
As the fight continued on, it was becoming more and more obvious who had the upper hand
While Whitebeard was fighting off Teach, Luffy and Ace went up against his 10 titanic captains
Ace threw dozens of fire attacks and fought in sync with his little brother
They eventually managed to knock out all of the titanic captains
A high pitched scream followed by many others caught Ace's attention
He turned around to see various marines that looked as if they had been planning on attacking him from behind unconscious and injured
The fire user looked around and a certain person stood out to him
Unbeknownst to him, Luffy was smiling as Ace looked around
Ace's eyes traced a very specific person standing not too far from where he and Luffy were standing, their back turned against them
A blond-haired man who looked to be around the same age as him
The man wore some very noble like clothes along with a black trenchcoat and a unique top hat with a pair of goggles that rested upon the hat
It was familiar to Ace, way too familiar
As the scarred blond slowly turned around, Ace's heart skipped a beat
'There's no way...those eyes...but- he couldn't have! H-he...' Ace thoughts were such a mess at that moment
He turned to Luffy
Luffy stayed silent, slowly but surely, nodding his head at him
"Hey, Ace...It's been a while" A familiar voice spoke to Ace, it was a bit deeper than he remembered, but, It was still the same voice
"Sabo..."
