I watched as Mahito raised the gun to Ryu's head, then mercilessly pull the trigger. Blood splattered everywhere and Ryu's lifeless body fell to the ground. I screamed out in anger as I watched everything take place. Tears filled my eyes as I looked over at Ryu's dead body.
"YOU FREAK! Y-YOU MANIAC! YOU PSYCHOPATH! HOW COULD YOU—" , I shouted as rage filled up inside of me. Mahito just looked at me with an evil grin on his face, showing no remorse. He was certainly going to kill me next and there was no way in hell I could convince him to stop.
"P-paper! Sukuna was talking about a piece of paper when he ransacked my room. I need to know what he was talking about! Why do you need it?!" -Y/n
"Oh....that little thing. It had your parents bank account number on it. They left you a fortune, but I guess you didn't know...Your aunt probably withheld that important info from you. It doesn't matter anymore, killing you will make up for their mistakes." -Mahito
What in fuxks name is he talking about!? I thought my aunt said there was nothing left of my parents...not even money! Why- why did she lie? I swear is there anyone I can really trust in this goddamn world!?
"Wait...just one moment before you kill me." -Y/n
"Hm?" -Mahito
"I hope you're okay with having an unexpected guest coming over." I said as I looked over his shoulder with a grin plastered on my face. All that could be heard were gunshots coming from all around. Sukuna got caught in the crossfire and fell to the ground. Ryu....I hope you can rest assured....Sukuna has been taken care of. It's just Mahito that's left. I watched as a tall figure approach us from the shadows. It was Nanami, he had a deadly look on his face and his eyes were fixated on Mahito. I quickly took cover behind a concrete wall before Nanami began to shoot.
Bullet shells could be heard falling to the ground as Nanami went berserk pulling the trigger. He managed to injure Mahito twice, hitting him in both legs before running in my direction.
"Y/n! Y/n! Are you ok?!" He said with a worried look on his face. He scanned my entire body for bleeding before pulling me into a tight hug. I couldn't help but cry as I felt his warmth on me.
"Nanami.....I—" -Y/n
My eyes widened as I saw Mahito slowly getting up from the ground. He looked angrier than before and grabbed a gun from the floor and aimed it at us. Nanami's back was facing him but I saw everything going on as I was still wrapped in his hug. It's like everything was in slow motion as I saw Mahito about to pull the trigger.
"No!!" I yelled as I forcefully pushed Nanami aside, hearing a loud bang then feeling something pierce through my chest. I slowly looked up at Nanami who was now in shock, witnessing with his own eyes as blood started to trickle down my body. Mahito had shot me and disappeared. I fell into Nanami's arms as I slowly bled out. I could feel his tears dripping on my face as he tried to stop the bleeding. I cupped his face with my shaky arms, trying to calm him down.
"N-Nanami....I need to tell y-you something...." I felt a strong shockwave of pain going through my body making me cough up more blood. "I- I want you to know t-that every single second I s-spent with you.....it was p-precious to me. I- I always felt safe around you and comforted. I m-may have been a bich sometimes b-but....I really l-like you." Tears slowly exited my eyes as I spoke in a shaky voice. I looked at his ethereal face one more time before closing my eyes....
"Y/N! Y/N! NO NO STAY WITH ME! P-PLEASE! THE AMBULANCE IS COMING! P-PLASE STAY WITH M-ME!" I was on my last breath, holding on just for the sake of seeing him one more time...
Nanami's POV~
"I hope this is enough t-to repay you for the suit I damaged." She said with a faint smile on her face. I grabbed her hand, squeezing it tightly while I cried my eyes out.
"Y/n...it's more than enough...but I have something to tell you too. I really li—" -Nanami
"Y/N?! NO NO! Y/N?!"
She didn't respond. She was looking at me with a smile on her face. Dried up tears were by the corner of her eyes. My hand was still holding hers but the bleeding didn't stop. She's gone....She's gone.....She's actually gone.....I didn't get a chance to tell her how I felt- I didn't get to show her my gratitude...I was awaiting for the day of the 'picnic' to express my feelings but...I guess the universe was against it.
The first day I met her, she was very different from my other employees which got my attention. Of course I had to check her background before I assigned her to a position. I was shocked after seeing who she really was but that didn't affect the outcome of our future together.Even though we met because of a mere accident caused by her...I didn't expect things to turn out this way. I didn't expect to feel this way because of someone before...It had been years since I opened my heart up to someone...it took years for me to get over my last relationship. My heart was sore and broken but when y/n came into my life...she somehow healed it with her personality . Yes, our paths mostly crossed mainly because of bad occurrences but that only made us grow closer. It all seemed like fate, meeting each other, then protecting each other....
I really fell for her....but I never got to actually show it. I hope she knows how much she means to me. I wish...I wish if I could have had the chance to tell her...
"Y/n, I love you...I really do." I couldn't help but cry. The pain in me grew more. The sadness was unbearable as it slowly overtook my heart....
"I hope we meet in the next life..."
