Tw: angst and depressive episodes as usual smh cad's gotta stop being so sad all the time

"my parents are dead"

The room was silent for multiple moments,

"my parents are f*cking dead" Ollie repeated, scoffing slightly.

I watch as a few more tears roll down her face,
"they're not coming back" she stated clearly.

"and im sad?—they didn't care about me one bit—and im—mourning them" Ollie leaned back against the couch cushions.

"it's a signal in our brains to mourn, you also on default care about them" I noted,

"if its default to care, then why didn't they?" Ollie said through tears, "y'know I've been through this—process of losing someone you've loved, and I thought I was done with that whole thing when I was like six—but I guess that's not how it works"

"can I ask who you lost? Its fine if you don't want to I was just curious—" Ranboo perks up, I had forgotten he was even here for a minute.

"oh yeah its fine I can tell you," Ollie smiled thinly, "My sister—Olive—she had cystic fibrosis as an infant and didn't make it to her third birthday" Ollie nodded.

"Im sorry" Ranboo frowned,

"don't be," Ollie sniffed, "it was a long time ago"

"do you want to eat anything?" I ask after a couple moments,

"I don't have an appetite for anything—I'm still pretty tired though" Ollie rubbed her eyes as she talked,

"you should get some sleep then" Tommy pushed,

"yeah I'll go do that" she stood up rather clumsily and walked back to the guest bedroom.

I waited until the door was shut until I started talking again, "im just gonna say it now—she's gonna be depressed for a bit, that's how the cycle's going so far"

"depressed?" Tommy raised his brow.

"yeah, she's gonna not want to talk, not want to leave bed, not eat, not do anything" I twirled my finger around my earing as I talked.

"so what do we do to help?" Ranboo hugged a pillow.

"basically we just be there for her, she's gonna shut us out as much as possible though" I answer as I fidget with my jewelry.

"divorce papers?" Alex scoffed,

"yeah" I nodded,

"that's so stupid—like they didn't even tell her or anything?"

"yeah, she just now mentioned it too, she kinda threw up all this information about how they didn't care about her"

"did you ever meet her parents?" he quizzed,

"no, but most everyone else did, when they first picked her up for the big trip" I mentioned,

"i bet they would've liked you"

"and why is that?" I raised an eyebrow,

"you're basically an older sister to her, along with Ranboo, Tubbo, and Tommy" he said simply,

"an older sister?" I clicked my tongue thinking about it.

"yeah, you give advice to them, and you're fun to talk to"
