Aoba josai was nothing short of ruthless in a game. They were the closest Shiratorizawa had ever come to losing, and they had to work to hold their crown above Aoba josai's head.
Hana watched intensely as the teams spat poison at one another. She almost felt bad for the ball- it was getting quite the beating. Of course it was nothing short of expected.
It was louder than usual, and the conversion of students made Hana more than a little agitated.
'If I hear another scream above 85 decibels I'll rip someone's voice box out. Don't they have any sense of respect? Yell all you want when we win but shut your god damn traps when the guys are trying to concentrate!'
What she wouldn't give to say it out loud. But Hana wasn't looking for another detention, so she bit her lip and endured it.
It was Ushijima's serve, and Hana observed as he threw it soaring into the air, and made such extreme contract is went slamming down the ground of the court. Immediate point.
She felt a sort of pride seeing it all go down. And not just Ushijima being hot. With a challenger who really motived the team, she got see her boys in full motivation, actually feeling like they had a worthy opponent.
It was a nice change from always being secured a win. They actually had to fight for their victory, and it showed Hana the fruits of their treacherous labour.
Ushijima was about to serve again, and Hana's sensed heightened as she leaned forward in anticipation. He took stance, threw it into the air, raised his arm, and-
"You can do it Ushijima! You're so amazing!!" A jarring and tinny voice called out from a group of female students in the audience.Ushijima's hand landed, and the other team had recieved the serve, the ball now back in play. Hana spun around to the noise and glared, radiating total damnation on the obnoxious noise that affected the game. That whole violence threat was looking a whole lot more attractive now.
Her eyes then averted, and she spotted Kaori and the twins. They could sense her obvious rage, and were giggling and waved at her to cool off. Her anger mellowed, knowing they came to support her team.
"Chance ball!" She heard Reon yell, and the ball was retrieved. The game was almost through, and despite her initial thoughts, it was clear to see who the victor was going to be.
Shiratorizawa was up by 5 points, and Aoba josai was getting sluggish. Their desperation was becoming more apparent with every point scored against them.
Kaori stared down at the court from their seats, keeping a particular eye on Hana and Ushijima. How he'd score a point, and then look directly towards her like he wanted her validation and pride, and she'd smile slightly, nod her head, and he'd straighten up a little, clearly satisfied.
It was actually pretty hilarious to watch, and Kaori felt a sort of power to be the only one that knew it was going on. Time was running out though. 'This is it. As soon as this match ends I'll have to tell the twins. I feel bad but... they should know. Hell, we all should know.' She thought to her self.
The manager herself was now clutching her fists together at an alarming strength. They only needed one more point to win, but Aoba josai were only two behind now. One more point and the teams would be in equal ground.
The team was spitting fire at this point, between Tendo's blocks, Semi's sets, Goshiki and reons spikes, Yamagata's receives, the team barely hit the ground. It was as if they were only barely hovering above the wood floor, their instincts driving them at full speed.
