Hana Watanabe was a smart girl. She didn't work overly hard, and she really should study more than she did, but due to her natural born academic talent, she could never find the motivation to do more than she needed to.
She wasn't overly confident, and never felt the need to brag, yet she blended in with the crowd well, and had an overall successful couple years of high school so far with enough friends to satisfy her. So you can imagine how thrown off she would be in the situation where she was greeted by a bunch of boys, all bowing to her, wanting her to manage a sports team. Hana was a smart girl, yet in this situation, she was utterly lost.
To put this occurrence into context, it was a few months into her 3rd year at Shiratorizawa high school, and Hana was used to her normal routine again after summer had ended. She was on her way to school on a particular cold morning, and felt a little uneasy, almost like she was being watched.
However since she was on a crowded street full of students her age on the same journey, she thought it only natural that she didn't feel alone. She shook away her thoughts and soon arrived at the front gates.
"Hana-chan!" A bubbly voice surprised her, and the next thing she knew, she was ambushed from behind."Come on Kaori, it's too early for you to be startling me like that," she laughed, while trying to pry her friends arms from around her waist. Kaori released Hana and walked with her into the school building.
"You're later than usual Hana-chan, usually you're the first here, the other two are already inside." Kaori said with a curious glance."Yeah, I forgot to make myself a lunch last night so I had to go to the store before school the buy some food for today, I don't like the cafeteria food." She answered.
"Geez, you're so picky. You need to widen your stomach palette! I heard somewhere online that if you don't eat a wider range of food, you'll get wrinkles faster."Hana rolled her eyes at her friend's usual antics. Kaori very often tended to find a lot of suspicious tales from the internet that almost always turned out to be false. She was always so gullible. They arrived at their classroom and slid open the door, immediately greeted by their other friends.
"Hana-chan, Kaori-chan, good morning!" One if their mutual friends Aya yelled. She had short ashy brown hair, and the softest amber eyes. It was safe to say that Aya was the cutie of their group. On the seat opposite, was a near mirror image of Aya, the same hair and eyes, yet sharper, and less warm. They were the Nakamura twins, yet complete opposites in personality.
Hana and Kaori pulled their chairs over to the twin's desk and set their bags down, waiting for their home room teacher to arrive.
"Morning Aya, morning Mari, how long have you two been here?"
"Not long, we would've been earlier but the damn bus was late. I had to wait in the cold for 10 frikin extra minutes." Mari huffed. Aya giggled and added,
"Oh come on Mari, it wasn't that bad. Plus the driver apologised, he was super nice."The girls continued their chat for a little longer until Mari spoke up once more.
"Oh yeah, Hana, there was a couple guys who came by earlier looking for you. They were pretty tall. Didn't ask anything, just wanted to know if you were in yet."
"Huh, that's weird. I can't think of anyone who would specifically be looking for me." She didn't talk to guys on the regular, so Hana didn't really have any male friends.Just as she was about to question it again, the bell rang, and their teacher arrived. The girls all dragged their chairs back to their desks, and the lesson began. 'There's that feeling again,' Hana thought. She still felt like someone was looking at her. She was in class though, so maybe it was just an accident. Once again, she shook off the feeling, and went back to listening to the teacher.

Lunch had just began, and the four girls were crowded around a shared desk eating together like always. Kaori slumped down on the desk and dropped her head.
"I can't believe we were given a surprise quiz! Ugh I did so bad, I couldn't get any of it. I'm totally screwed. My moms gonna kill me." She cried, and Mari joined in.
"Surprise quizzes are so stupid, what's the point of being tested when you haven't had time to go over the material? It's all bullshit to me." She pouted.Soon Aya, Kaori and Mari were all gushing about worries on their test scores, while Hana sat quietly and ate her food. Apparently this didn't go unnoticed, as Kaori quickly called her out.
"You! I bet you did great on the stupid quiz. It's so unfair, you do the same amount of work as us, yet you get some of the highest grades in year! Plus, you're tall and pretty. You have it all"Hana looked at her plainly, and replied,
"That's not true. I just remember stuff quickly. It's not that hard once you're used to it. Plus, the test had all the easier parts of topics, it couldn't have been that bad. And Kaori, everyone knows that short girls are super cute" The three girls stared at her, bewildered, and just as Mari was about to go off again ranting about the indifference height makes, the door slid open loudly, catching everyone's attention."Is Hana Watanabe in this class?" A tall boy with ashy blond hair asked, standing in the door frame. Hana hesitated, but then quickly stood up.
"Uh, yes. That's me."
"Can you please come with me? There's some people who need to see you." He said. Hana was confused. She looked back at her three friends still sitting down, and they shrugged. Hana then approached the boy, and they walked off, the door sliding behind them. The walk was pretty awkward. Neither of them spoke, and the only noise present was from other students. The boy lead her all the way to the cafeteria, where they approached a table with two other guys. One had fiery red hair, that was spiked up, and the other had olive brown hair and matching eyes. Plus he was huge, he didn't even look like a highschooler.
The boy who guided her turned and introduced himself.
"I know we've been in the same year for 3 years but I don't we've talked. My name is Eita Semi, the big guy is Wakatoshi Ushijima, and the red head is Satori Tendo. We're all members of the volleyball club." Hana looked at the three boys before her. She knew their school had a pretty good team. It's basically what they were known for, but she never really paid much attention to it."Sooo, why am I here exactly?" She questioned. Semi nudged the two boys and soon all three of them stood up in a line in front of Hana. Just as she was starting get confused again, they all lowered their heads and bowed, while shouting,
"WATANABE-SAN, PLEASE BE OUR MANAGER FOR YOUR LAST YEAR AT SHIRATORIZAWA." Hana jumped, surprised at what just happened. They stood up straight again and looked at her. She was speechless, and couldn't seem to find words while her mind was racing.
"Wha-... but... why though??" Was all she could spit out at that moment.
