Chapter 39: Pirate Choccy Milk

"Here comes the blushing bride! And look, she's even wearing white!" Kaori squealed as Hana walked through the school gates. It was the following Monday to that fateful day in the gym, and now that word was out about Hana and Ushijima, her friends spared no merci in taunting her.

"Oh yeah, not like our school uniforms have always been white or anything. And what about you Kaori, didn't you say you'd be the first to get a boyfriend? Looks like you owe me a soda." Hana sniffed and she joined her group in the courtyard.

Kaori's previous manner had broken and her head dropped, knowing Hana was right and wallowing in her single-ness.

"It's kinda of ironic though isn't it? I mean Hana would always be all, 'we must not allow relationships to hinder our education' and now she's the only taken one of the group!" Mari laughed, and Hana pouted at her impression.

"That's true, although I have to admit, even before we found out, I always thought you and Ushijima were super cute together. Like it was so obvious he admired you!" Aya remarked warmly.

If anything, she was just happy Hana had come out of her shell. Kaori picked herself out of slump quickly and pounced on Hana playfully.

"Well obviously! look at this face and tell me she's not the hottest bitch around, I mean like I would tap that." She said, biting her lip like a stereotypical fuckboy.

"You and Hana would make an iconic couple though. Between your sass and Hana giving zero fucks, you guys would paint the town red." The four laughed together, unaware of the group approaching.

"It's settled then, Hana will dump her boyfriend and then we will run away together and become the hottest couple and be joint presidents." Kaori declared.
"Ushijima's getting dumped already? Poor guy, they just made things official!" Tendo called from behind her.

Kaori spun around and faced their normal group of third years, Reon, Yamagata, Ushijima and semi slightly behind him. Ushijima had a slightly confused look dawning his features, as he broke off from the group to side with Hana.

"Oh Tendo! Didn't you hear? Me and Hana are getting married now, so... Ushijima can be the pastor or something. I don't really care." Hana stared at her from the side as she built more and more onto the fantasy, and after minimal debate decided it best to just let her imagination go wild.

Ushijima slid to her right and took her hand.
"Before you freak out because of an inability to understand Kaori's emotional whirlwind, no I'm not running away with her." Hana smirked.

It was as if she'd read his mind, and in all truth he was glad he didn't have to embarrass himself by bringing it up.
"Well I knew something was a bit out of place but I couldn't quite put my finger on it." He said sarcastically.

Hana laughed quietly. The toll of the school bell sounded, guiding a steady flow of students inside. Ushijima squeezed Hana's hand softly before letting go, and joined the other boys once more.

"Hana! Are you cheating on me with that strange man?! But we just got engaged!" Kaori yelled, throwing a hand to her heart as the other girls laughed.

Hana sighed and turned with them towards the building. 'Tell the others they said, they deserve to know, they said.' She thought.

Hana, Kaori and the twins had ventured out from the safety of their classroom for the first time in the a while after Mari droned on about the new chocolate milk that wasn't sold in the vending machine, and Hana was more than reluctant to be dragged from her natural habitat.
