((Kaneki x Reader)) Broken Down

Choice One

     I gritted my teeth and turned around. I sliced up the shackles that were holding Hinami and handed her the device. "Leave. Press this once you're out of this room. Just run and don't look back."

     "Bu-" before she said anything more she saw the look on my face. Her lips tightened and she nodded. "Okay." She whispered.

      I smiled and turned around. I need to distract Arima so Hinami could get out of here. I brought out my kagune. I charged at Arima to attack him and he dodged. I saw Hinami rush past us and run into the distance. Soon everyone will be showing up, this is the final battle.

     Kaneki had also launched an attack at Arima but again he dodged it. "Two on one isn't fair." Arima said with an emotionless tone. He pulled out his weapon from his case and pointed it at me. "I'll have to take one down first before the next." Suddenly he charged at me faster than I could blink. I dodged but he instantly swung again and had sliced my cheek.

"Agh." I grunted. Kaneki was already on the move and attacking Arima.

"Don't you dare touch her!" He yelled as his red kagune thrusted multiple attacks at Arima, who again kept dodging them.

Fuck. Arima is a tough cookie for sure. Kaneki and I are definitely aren't making out of this fight without a scratch. "Damnit!" I hissed out and attacked Arima again. Attack after attack aimed for him. We just have to hold out for a little while longer. Backup will be here soon for sure. We have to save everyone.

"Too slow." Huh? Arima whispered into my ear and I stopped. My vision got blurry and I looked down. Oh no.

~POV CHANGE TO KANEKI~

Fuck fuck fuck fuck. No no no. "NOO!" I yelled out. Arima had stabbed (F/N) through the stomach. He pulled his weapon out from her and she collapsed. "Arima!" I screamed. Rage consumed me. I rushed and took out everything I had onto Arima. This bastard. Why did (F/N) stay? She should've ran and gotten out of here with Hinami. Damnit.

I couldn't see anymore. I just blindly kept attacking Arima. Fuck. I had to end this quickly and get (F/N) out of here. Arima was giving it his all now. We kept landing small blows on each other endlessly it seemed.

"Ah ha!" Arima and I stopped and looked to (F/N) again. She was standing again? How? "Hahaha!" She was laughing and holding her face with her hand. "HahahahHAHAHA!" Her face seemed like it was cracking and her kagune had grown to three times of the original size. What's happening.

I saw Arima swing at me again and I dodged and retreated back. Arima's attention was back on (F/N) again. She still was laughing maniacally. What's happening to her? She finished laughing and her eyes darted back and forth between Arima and I. She stopped and gazed at me and slowly raised a finger to point at me. "Hey asshole." She sneered. "You did this to me!" She pointed at herself again and smiled widely. Almost wickedly. Has she gone crazy?

"What are you talking about!!?" I yelled to her. "We are here to save Hinami! We planned this together." I took a quick look to Arima, but he was gone. Where did he go?

"No!" She shook her head. "You did this to me!" She pointed to her eyes which were both the color of a ghoul's now and than up to her kagune. "You turned me into- PAHHAHaha-! A monster! A freaaak! Like youuu!" She began twisting her head and arms to weird shapes. "You're more of a monster than me!!"

What did Arima do to her? I shook my head. What happened to her? "(F/N)! Stop! You don't mean those things!" I relaxed my body and pulled my kagune away.

      "Hmmm?" (F/N) tilted their head to the side. "Oh? You think I won't attack you?!" She laughed again. "Oh honey!" She charged at me and swung, I quickly moved away from the attack and dodged another she had thrown at me. "After I take you down, I'm gonna take every ghoul down in this place with me!" Between almost every word she had giggled a little. "You're senile!" She yelled. "Crazy crazy crazy crazy-" she kept mumbling.

      I needed to think of a way to snap her out of this. This whole time the wound in her stomach also wasn't closing up at all. She's been losing so much blood. Shit.

     I held out my wrist and took my other hand and dug into my skin. Once I broke skin, I proceeded to slice down a little more. Blood bursted out from my arm and dripped onto the floor. "Come on. You're hungry aren't you?" I outstretched my hand out to her. "Come eat."

     Her eyes which had been twitching this whole time stopped. She stood still and stared at my bleeding arm. Her kagune dispersed into thin air and she slowly walked over to me. She grasped my arm gently and pushed it up to her mouth. "Kaneki." My name came forth from her mouth in a hushed tone. "Kaneki." Her mouth pressed up against my open wound. She was warm.

      She began to nibble and suck on my arm, and slowly her cracked face was turning to normal. My muscles relaxed and I sighed with a smile. "(F/N)." I brought my other hand up to her head and stroked her soft hair. Suddenly as if her legs gave out, she collapsed. The wound in her stomach had closed up finally and mine had already healed. I bent down to scoop her up and began to carry her outside.

      No matter what fights, wars, or problems that lie ahead I'll always keep her safe. I could never hurt her no matter what. She has always been my peace of mind. (F/N). I love you.

~ Time Skip 2 years. POV change to you again~

     I sighed and looked out the window. All I could see were fields, meadows, and trees across the land. After many fights and wars, we had decided to ultimately hide away. It was the best for everyone and no one got hurt this way. Of course there will still problems with ghouls and humans out there, but it will always be like that. A struggle to live everyday between prey and predators.

      The door opened and I turned my head to Kaneki who was walking through the door. He just got back from visiting Anteiku to bring some coffee home. He had been gone for a week since we decided to move far away to a remote location. "Kaneki!" I got up and rushed to hug him. His arms enveloped me as well. "I missed you." I hurried my head into his chest.

     He let out a small laugh. "I missed you also (F/N)." I felt his hand begin to stroke my hair. "Actually." He pulled away and began to shuffle something out of his coat. "I have something for you." Slowly he pulled out a small clip which had a beautiful flower that was the color of my eyes. "I thought of you when I saw this." He clipped it into my hair and softly smiled. "It's suits you just as I thought."

      I blushed and smiled back. "Thank you." I hugged him once more and gave a little squeeze. I let go and picked up the bag of coffee he brought. I took it to the kitchen so I could put it away. "You know I think I should visit a doctor. Lately I feel nauseous and for some reason my sense of smell is even more heightened than before." I grimaced. "Like smells that didn't bother me before are so disgusting."

      "What!" He rushed over to me and hugged me from behind. "When did this start?" He gently pressed his hands on my belly. "(F/N), are you-"
