Passion

~One Year Later~

It had been a whole year since he disappeared. I can barely remember his face, but when I forget I look at a picture on my phone. I cry every time I do.

It had been a whole year since everybody came back battered and bruised saying that he left.

It had been a whole year since the last time he held me. Since he loved me. Since his warmth filled me up. Kaneki.

I sighed getting out of bed and brushing my hair out. I lazily put on clothes and headed downstairs. Touka had ran up to me and grabbed my shoulders. "He's back."

"What? Who?" I asked.

"It's Kaneki." My eyes widened. "I heard from someone that he's back. I don't know where, but he's back."

I smiled. Feeling over joyed. I get to see my beloved again. I waited for him. Never breaking his promise. I stayed at Anteiku and helped everyone not thinking of ever trying to find him. Because Touka told me not to.

Touka let go of my shoulders and smiled. "Now all we do is wait for him to show up."

I nodded. "Yeah."

While passing the time I hastily worked all day. Making sure to do whatever anyone needed. From washing tables to going out and buying ingredients. I was more hyper then ever and I couldn't wait to see Kaneki again.

Once I finished up everything, the last costumer stepped in before closing time. "Welcome to An-" I stopped mid sentence when I realized who it was.

Tsukiyama.

The man who tried to feed my flesh off to others and who also tried to eat Kaneki. Kaneki told me the whole story and what happened.

"What do you want." I heard Touka say behind her teeth. I ran over and hid behind her. Nervous.

"Why in just here with some news from Kaneki!" He posed. Ew. (Sorry if you like him, but he tried to kill you so...)

"What?" I ran over to him and looked him in the eyes. "What is it? Tell me!"

"Now now my little butterfly, be patient. The news isn't going anywhere. He said he is back but won't come back here. That's all."

My heart dropped. Why? Just then the door opened and in stepped another man. He ha white hair. "Tsukiyama don't tell them lies."

This voice, it can't be. "Kaneki!" I rushed over to him and hugged him tightly.

"Oh my! Good to see you to (Y/N)." He patted my head.

I bursted into tears. "Where have you been? I was worried."

"I had some business to take care of. Don't worry, I'm back now." He then wrapped his arms around me and squeezed right.

I looked up at him and smiled. I then ruffled his hair. "What happened?"
I asked curious.

"Ah... I dyed it."

"It suits you." I smiled.

Kaneki also smiled, but it seemed more like a pitied smile then a more genuine one. "Thank you."

I then pulled his collar and kissed him. Not hesitating to do so.

"Oh my!" I heard Tsukiyama behind me. I also heard Touka sigh.

Kaneki didn't resist, he also kissed back. I felt a passion I haven't felt for awhile. My lover was now back and I'm finally a whole again.
